9/27/2005 Suge Knight demands apology from Eminem

 

Rap mogul Marion 'Suge' Knight feels that Eminem remarks from his old music, reveled by the source magazine back in 2003 are racist and sexist.

Suge said that he would like to meet Eminem in a summit and hear his explanation for his racial slurs that he made on his old recording.

 

Knight told XXL magazine: "When Eminem came out, I liked him. I thought he could rap, and I thought he was funny... But when you start saying black women are n**ger bi*ches and gold diggers, then I've got a problem because I've got a mother, I've got daughters.

 

"You cross a line when you start stereotyping a race. Eminem is making his money off black people and black culture, then turning around and degrading black women. He's a racist."

 

Where the hell has Suge been? (oh yeah.. probably prison)

 

but yeah.. a Suge/Eminem summit doesn't seem like such a good idea for Eminem, considering the Suge/Eazy-E summit ended poorly, and the Suge/Vanilla Ice summit, and almost every other Suge summit ever.

When Suge Knight was starting Death Row Records, he said that he would make this record label the Motown of the 90's, no matter what it took. He was determined on becoming the Berry Gordy of his decade, and many say he accomplished his goal. Back in 1991, Dr. Dre, the DOC, and Miche'lle left Eazy E's already successful Ruthless Records. Eazy E and business manager Jerry Heller claimed, the three Ruthless artists who were under contract with their company, were freed from their contractual obligations only because the Ruthless Staff feared for their lives! They claimed that Knight used to taunt their business offices with guns and at one point threatened Eazy himself, with pipes and bats if he did not release the three artists. With the group NWA, Dr. Dre had started what became to be known as "gansta rap", and he was the most talented producer at the time.
