snuffbox Posted October 28, 2005 Report Posted October 28, 2005 Oscar De La Hoya has reportedly signed a tentative pact to to challenge Ricardo Mayorga for the WBC 154-pound title on May 6. It is not known whether the bout will be a co-promotion between Don King Productions and De La Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions, or DKP and Top Rank, which holds a right of first refusal for Oscar's next bout, according to the LA Times. The paper also reported that former champions Shane Mosley and Fernando Vargas will collide on February 25 and WBC lightweight champion Jesus Chavez will face off super lightweight king Marco Antonio Barrera on March 25. -fightnews.com
