I was just thinking random thoughts about WWE. I was thinking of how I'd like to see Chris Jericho on Smackdown to wrestle Juventud... then it dawned on me. Smackdown's World Champ, Batista, is out, and all signs point to Randy Orton (also recently added to the Survivor Series team) taking the title off him.

However, since Batista will obviously be writtenout of the SS match and SD could use another good worker, is there any chance that Jericho could make a comeback? He'd be an awesome surprise replacement for Batista and could help fill some of the void left by Smackdown losing its 2 biggest faces.

From this interview, it doesn't sound like Jericho will be back in wrestling anytime soon. He's not under contract (that extension only lasted through SummerSlam), and he's been wanting to concentrate on acting/music for a while now. I can see him coming back someday, but definitely not this soon.

What good does that do? One night doesn't solve the problem, just points out to the fans how bad the problem is. Jericho doesn't want to come back. They'll just have to push JBL back into the mix with Crippler.

Smackdown is hurting but it'll recover.

Jericho is still on VH1 best week ever every week (and was also on "I love the holidays") and is now listed on the screen as "actor/musician" interesting

I wish our hero and paragon of virtue would come back, but I dont blame him for staying away.
