Mystery Eskimo 0 Report post Posted November 23, 2005 I wonder if Vince will consider giving his guys more time off and professional training and nutrition advice in an attempt to preserve some of the previously roid induced size. Probably not.
cameron chaos 0 Report post Posted November 23, 2005 Angle, Edge, Benoit and Kane have probably used them. Angle and Kane's brows and baldness suggest so while both Angle and Benoit have veins popping out of their chest and are much heavier than they were when previously in top natural condition 6-10 years ago. Edge's wife suggested he used them. Cena's been a bodybuilding guy since his teens but it actually looks like he's dropped some muscle being on the road. Matt has his own gym in his home and doesn't look too ripped so I don't think he uses. Besides, with Jeff's problems he's probably deterred from them. Seems he shaves his chest though. Rey just looks like he has bulked up rather than jumped on the roids. Probably on on supplements but given his ring style using steroids wouldn't help at all. Big Show isn't on roids. He admitted he hates the gym and finds it hard to eat right on the road so I doubt he has the motivation or inclination to work out enough to warrant them. I know Rey is a favorite of many (including myself) but I am not blind to the fact that he is just "bulked up". Sorry, but he's changed and it's because of substances other than what's available at GNC.
Guest slmon Report post Posted November 23, 2005 In the wake of the new drug policy, is anyone else feeling a disconnect between this policy and the prominent roles played lately by people like Masters, Batista and Lashley?
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted November 23, 2005 I'm sure Kane used to be on them, but he looks like he stopped because he lost a lot of muscle mass.

He hasn't got the results roids should get a short guy. I know a guy that works doors not much taller than Rey who looks like a brick wall with veins compared to Rey's more rounded look. The Amazing Rando 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2005 Just because Rey isn't "a brick wall with veins" doesn't mean he doesn't use steroids, he just might not use them to the point others do. If I hit you in the chest with a shovel 5 times, and somebody else with a shovel 50 times. You'd look at the guy with the 50 and say "Shit, it looks like he just got hit with a shovel!" and the 5 time guy would say "What about me! I got hit!" and you would say "You don't look like him though..."
cameron chaos 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2005 Er... ok. I'm just saying, if he is on roids he's clearly not benefitted from them much as he is not defined or musclebound, he just looks chunky, he's not . Rey Mysterio and Sean Sherk are quite close in size and weight however Sherk is 100% clean and still looks like he's much bigger than Rey. I'd actually like Sass's opinion on this given his history with weightlifting and bodybuilding. I know there is a guy who is like 5'3 1/2" and has some of the largest biceps in the world who makes no bones about using. I personally don't think it's that crazy for a 5'3"-5'4" guy to put on 20-30 lbs of muscle during two years off by just training hard. He also hasn't displayed the traits of use either so the jury is out for me.
The Amazing Rando 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2005 I wasn't saying that he DEFINITELY IS on roids. I was just saying that there is a possibility just like with anyone else. He could be 100% clean and could have just been working out and bulking because his speed isn't what it used to be and he feels the need to compensate and look more imposing.
cameron chaos 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2005 His speed is not what it was due to knee surgeries. I still think if he was on roids though he'd have incurred far more muscle injuries due to his style.
The Amazing Rando 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2005 I know it was because of his bad knees, but if the one thing you are known for is slowed down, it might have been his idea (or the company's) for him to bulk up and look a little stronger so that it would make a little sense if he started "brawling" back, in typical WWE style. CanadianChick 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2005 Think of this: Shawn Michaels has admitted using steroids in the past? Was he ever huge? Was he ever all veiny like? Nope. Really, sometimes, it's the smallest guys that are on it.
Guest The Mustang Report post Posted November 24, 2005 Ya, either that or they wind up looking like Batista or Lashley, I thin k there the most obvious and why do you people say Kane or Big Show?! There height gives them the overall look but there not veiny he'll there more meaty then veiny.

Really, sometimes, it's the smallest guys that are on it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Michaels does have quite veiny arms even now. There's a photo in Power Slam three months ago of him on the back cover and his triceps and forearms are pretty map like. it might have been his idea (or the company's) for him to bulk up and look a little stronger so that it would make a little sense if he started "brawling" back, in typical WWE style. I heard he was asked to bulk up before they put him on TV.
