Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted December 4, 2005 I always thought a great gimmick would be like a wrestler with with like ESP or telepathy or some shit where they stand on the other side of the ring and throw punches and clotheslines and do the motions for slams and powerbombs and stuff and their opponent sells it all. That would rule!

You've obviously never seen a John Cena match.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2005 how about a spin on that with a guy that has Jedi Knight type powers? Take some high flying spotfest machine and give him the "ability" to force choke, force push and predict his opponents moves before he attempts them...he could use one of those toy lightsabers as his illegal weapon of choice (a la the kendo stick)...for really silly angles/promos, he could throw force lightning at his foes and cause pieces of the set to be tossed about and at them... Guest Hass of Pain Report post Posted December 5, 2005 Rasta the Voodoo Man in Global had supernatural powers. He would do a little voodoo ritual in the ring, and someone like Brian Adias would clutch his knee like it had just been hit by a train. The coverage of him in the Apter Magazines was hilarious. There would be quotes from his opponents who would say things like "He would be standing across the ring from me, and I would look up, and he would be gone. Completely vanished". The Papa Shango gimmick was almost completely ripped off from him, unless the WWF just so happened to come up with the black guy with a skull painted on his face doing voodoo ceremonies before his match thing by coincidence. Guest JMA Report post Posted December 5, 2005 There needs to be a gimmick where a wrestler appears to have powers but is later revealed to have been faking them with special effects.

I actually did that in an E-Fed with a tag team. They were Luke and Larry, the Laser Knights.
