EdwardKnoxII 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2005 http://www.newsarama.com/forums/showthread...?threadid=50748 CN'S TEEN TITANS - NO SEASON SIX. According to Titans Tower.com and other various sites, it appears that Cartoon Networks’ Teen Titans series will soon meet the fate of other Warner Brothers’ animated series and go quietly into dead air. Titans Tower quotes an unnamed source close to the series in saying that Cartoon Network has passed on the option of a sixth season of the animated series based on the DC Comics property. Batman: The Animated Series, Superman: The Animated Series, Batman Beyond and The New Batman Adventures all met similar fates in their day, each lasting between 3-5 seasons, and many returning to life in direct-to-video releases. As with the ends of other series, fans have mobilized and are currently organizing petition drives and letter-writing campaigns to Cartoon Network and WB. From the Titans Tower.com plea: If you feel there are more Titans stories to be told, let Cartoon Network know how you feel. Snail mail is the most effective way. Scores of individual letters have the most impact; Petitions are generally worthless in networks' eyes. The best bet is to start a letter writing campaign with individual heartfelt letters stating you would like the show to continue. MAKE SURE TO PUT "SAVE TEEN TITANS!" [big and Bold] Cartoon Network 1050 Techwood Drive Atlanta, GA 30318 Cartoon Network Feedback on the web This week’s episode of the series features Kid Flash’s first appearance as a Teen Titan, and the season itself is building to the climax of “Titan Hunt” with the Brotherhood of Evil tracking and capturing as many of the young heroes as it can. The first season DVD set of the series is due out on February 7th.
dubq 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2005 Honestly. I hated this show. Way too "anime'ish" for my taste.
MrRant 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2005 (edited) I never liked Teen Titans anyways. But I want them to do more comic shows. If they cancel JLU.... god have mercy on their souls. Edited December 9, 2005 by MrRant
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2005 I felt like after the Raven storyline the show was finished anyway. Five seasons is a good run for any series if you ask me.
Big McLargeHuge 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2005 I'm surprised the show has been on for five seasons. Seemed like 3 at the most. Liked the theme song, hated the actual show. And what happened to JLU?
dubq 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2005 JLU is supposed to have new episodes sometime this month from what I hear.
Guest JMA Report post Posted December 9, 2005 While I already knew about this, it's still kind of of a let-down. Oh well. Like it's been said, five seasons is a good run. Hopefully they go through with that Legion cartoon...
Golgo 13 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2005 I like Teen Titans... A shame it's ending just as they begin exploring the extended Titans roster and introducing more unconventional villains. It's not a just world when Teen Titans ceases to be and The Batman and Krypto continue to exist. And nothing has happened to JLU yet. This is just a midseason break and it's expected back soon, as said. But I have a feeling its days are numbered anyway. When taking Justice League into account, this is its fifth season, although it probably stands a better chance of lasting beyond five seasons than any of the past animated series. JasonX 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2005 JLU is supposed to have new episodes sometime this month from what I hear. Rumor is that it will be another 3-4 episodes then huge hiatus, since the plan currently is to use JLU's final 3-4 episodes as the pilot movie for the new Legion of Super-Heroes cartoon (which is the reason why Teen Titans is being cancelled, since they want to use the budget for TT on Legion). EricMM 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2005 I really hate CN's constant reluctance to finance cartoons for more than four or five years. Once they get enough eps to repeat like only six times a year, they just cancel things. Some things get better with age, see Jack, Samurai.

Legion cartoon....? Really? *gets hopes up* In all honesty, I think most people thought the Cadmus storyline was the end for JLU.
