SuperJerk Posted December 17, 2005 Report Posted December 17, 2005 "When you think of a premise so radical it's unmakable, you hang in for seven years to see it through, it is a shock to the system to have people on Websites saying, 'You hack, you stole this from South Park,' " Blitt tells Variety. SEVEN YEARS!
LaParkaYourCar Posted December 17, 2005 Report Posted December 17, 2005 From the article: Blitt says he had shopped his screenplay all over town, including to Parker and Stone, before the Farrellys and their Connundrum Entertainment snapped it up. So it seems Parker and Stone DID know about the movie being made when they made the episode. EDIT: Nevermind I read further and Parker and Stone themselves supposedly never saw the script. I guess it was their agents that Blitt met.
Damaramu Posted December 17, 2005 Report Posted December 17, 2005 Didn't South Park have an episode where the kids played Dodgeball and went to like some world championships to play? I don't remember anybody accusing the movie Dodgeball of ripping off the idea of Dodgeball as a legit sport from South Park. What's this Rebound movie?
Nighthawk Posted December 17, 2005 Report Posted December 17, 2005 Rebound is Martin Lawrence coaching some rag tag kids' basketball team.
