snuffbox Posted December 17, 2005 Report Posted December 17, 2005 Heads up for anybody interested...the great Neil Young will perform on SNL tonight. It will be his fourth time there I think. He'll probably play 2 songs..but hes done a whole 3 in the past. He might do a skit too...Jack Black hosts tonight so maybe they can have some interaction. Bob 'the SNL expert' Barron - Do you have any info to add to this?
snuffbox Posted December 18, 2005 Author Report Posted December 18, 2005 This man is just amazing. Less than a year after an aneurysm and hes got a great new record out and still performs with as much grace, power, honesty, and beauty as ever.
snuffbox Posted December 18, 2005 Author Report Posted December 18, 2005 -The double post was real damnit!-
... Posted December 18, 2005 Report Posted December 18, 2005 The only sketch I remember him doing was a brief spot in the monologue in 2000, when John Goodman was hosting. In the monologue, when the cut back to the cast reactions, he added out of nowhere (paraphrasing), "he is a very talented man."
snuffbox Posted December 18, 2005 Author Report Posted December 18, 2005 He played the part of a hillbilly couple's 'druggie son' in a sketch tonight.
