snuffbox 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2005 They are the second coming of the Rolling Stones...and if they play their cards right they could even be the next Insane Clown Posse.
Giuseppe Zangara 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2005 Remember when, in the video for "Niki FM," JT Woodruff, outside the window of his lost love, held up a boom box and play a song of hope and redemption? Much like that one movie?
Giuseppe Zangara 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2005 Did you know Hawthorne Heights has no less than three guitartists, not unlike Lynard Skynard?
Carnival 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2005 These guys aren't emo, cuz i like em, and I'm a real man, not an emo fag.
Giuseppe Zangara 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2005 Did you know that Hawthorne Heights is on the Victory Records label, which was once home to Earth Crisis, a band that was to militant straight edge hardcore that Hawthorne Heights is now to popular rock music? snuffbox 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2005 Did you know Hawthorne Heights has no less than three guitartists, not unlike Lynard Skynard? And those 3 guitarists are Chuck Norris, General Patton, and Jesus Christ.
The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2005 Victory Records is a Chicago-based independent record label founded by Tony Brummel, claiming to be at war with corporate America and its record labels. In 2002, 25% of the label was sold to MCA Records, and in 2003, MCA was folded into Geffen Records. Victory also has its product distributed by Sony's RED distribution. The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2005 The great thing about Hawthorne Heights is that not only do they have three guitarists (like Radiohead!), they have two vocalists: one sings, annd one growls! Contrast.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted December 20, 2005 Never heard of 'em.

2GOLD 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2005 (edited) Seen em live three times and they have a few good songs but they should have their asses kicked for the horrible Niki FM. Worst god damn song of the year to be made into a video and this year has been filled with a lot of bad shit. I'm happy with their extended album and you always get props for titling one of your unreleased tracks after something from BACK TO THE FUTURE II. But Niki FM...fuck. Golgo 13 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2005 I've never heard of these guys so they must not be very good.
The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2005 I've never heard of these guys so they must not be very good. Well, no, they're not, but from a logic standpoint, you sure are taking the scenic route
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2005 (edited) They're all right. I bought the CD, Silence in Black & White, back when it was $6.99. Edited December 25, 2005 by Matt Young
C Dubya 04 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2005 Are these guys just a Thursday ripoff? Singer & a screamer?
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2005 As much as I like Thursday, there have been many other bands that have used that combination, and better. Thursday certainly wasn't the first.
Guest RadioBurning Report post Posted December 24, 2005 I've heard 4 of their songs. "Niki FM", as formerly noted, is bad. Also, I was amused to hear one song that just sounded like a shittier "Ohio is For Lovers", same chord progression and all. Some song on a TV commercial, think it was called "Saying Sorry", sounded like they ripped off Blink 182's vocals. This makes sense though, an emo aqcuaintance of mine loves em, and used to love Blink.
Guest bort Report post Posted December 25, 2005 I liked Slience in Black and White alot. I think it was one of the better Emo/Punkish/Pop or whatever records of the year. I like a contrast in vocals and the screaming singing combo works well in most songs. Ohio is for lovers is a pretty catchy song dispite the sappyness of it. Niki FM video sucked yes.... The new cd is comming out in like a month, its alot more poppy then the first....not as much screaming. they didnt try to break any new ground songwriting wise.....its growing on me slowly
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted December 25, 2005 A new album already? They just re-released Silence with bonus material not too long ago, with 2 different covers, black and white. Clever.
