Isn't there an urban ledgend with the rumble. That the superstar coming in at (i think it was 17) is gone by the next rumble?

Oh yes and having the winner of the Royal Rumble not even getting a world title shot at Wrestlemania is probably one of the stupidest things they could do (VINCE DOESN'T COUNT!!!). Its bad enough I had to see that shit happen back in 97 with Stone Cold, I don't want to see it happen again.

 

It never occured to me until I read the (VINCE DOESNT COUNT!!!) part, but..

 

How much does anyone want to bet that Vince is in the Rumble match itself with the intent to eliminate HBK?

 

I just hope he doesn't win..

That would apply for a lot of #'s but for curiosity sake on that and what happened to #17 a year later...

1990-Jimmy Snuka *wasn't gone but hardly was around*

1991-Shane Douglas *he was gone*

1992-Jim Duggan *Not sure if he was out of the company but he wasn't a major piece of the puzzle a year later*

1993-Damien Demento *gone*

1994-Bob Holly *He hasn't left yet*

1995-Mabel *still kicking around*

1996-Owen Hart *was still around*

1997- Latin Lover *was a one shot deal*

1998- Goldust *was still there*

1999- Godfahter *still around*

2000- Chyna *still there*

2001- Albert *survived a couple more years*

2002- Albert *survived a couple more years*

2003- Test *Was pretty much gone a year later*

2004- Shelton Benjamin *still here*

2005- Rene Dupree *still employed at the moment but not active on the roster*

 

So 17 hasn't been the best number but it's not neccesarily a career killer.

Streamtvnow.com I use that site. It's around $4 for a month's suscription. They have coverage of NFL, NBA, NHL, WWE, etc. The quality is really good too, been using it for a while.

 

Well that won't help me tonight but it's good to know for the next one. We're actually thinking of giving up cable this year since they're jacking our rent up by $100/mo. If this runs WWE as well as MLB games, it ought to be a decent alternative.
