Lei Tong Posted January 31, 2006 Report Posted January 31, 2006 I suppose not, and I wouldn't mind seeing Baldomir possibly put the final nail in Gatti's career.
Lei Tong Posted January 31, 2006 Report Posted January 31, 2006 But a possible win over true welterweight chamiopn Baldomir would be a great final fight for one of the most exciting fighters of recent times. I'm not sure Gatti deserves a title shot so soon simply for being a "name." The thing is though, people are willing to pay for him to get the title shot because they know what kind of a fight Gatti will make it. That is what is lacking these days. Prize Fighters who lay it all on the line. ...what? There were two others shown on the very same broadcast.
snuffbox Posted January 31, 2006 Author Report Posted January 31, 2006 Theres more great fights (with fighters giving everything in the ring) now then there have been in at least ten years. Outside of the hevyweight division this is a gilded era for boxing.
snuffbox Posted February 6, 2006 Author Report Posted February 6, 2006 It looks like Morales and PacMan may do it again...on Sept16 in Vegas. Might be too early for Morales, imo.
snuffbox Posted February 8, 2006 Author Report Posted February 8, 2006 Manny Pacquaio may fight Oscar Larios (which would be another classic) in May...in Manilla. It still looks like Pac-Morales 3 could be in September at Sam Boyd football Stadium in Vegas. -credit to fightnews It really is time that modern boxing entusiasts, writers, and talking heads start talking like some of these guys are true all-time legends of the sport. Just because they fight at the moment does not make them any less than other legends like Salvador Sanchez or Roberto Duran.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 I'd love to see Pac fight in his homeland, just to see if he's as famous there as everyone makes him out to be.
