Nagin is an uncle tom piece of shit thats trying to get on blacks good side,...kinda like the mayor here

Whoa whoa whoa... Kwame ain't no Uncle Tom. Kwame's just a hooker-killing, money-embezzling, no-nothing fuck.

Get it right.

lol...I got at that in the 2nd post too...the way Kwame sells out the people that put their trust in him makes him an uncle tom...and of course all the other things makes him the piece of shit he is as well..I voted for Hendrix...guess he was too "white"

That's an interesting piece on Detroit History, if a little tough to read due to bad grammer/spelling (no offense). Any more light you'd like to shed on it? I always hear about how Detroit is a hellhole and you're not supposed to go there or you'll probably get shot. What caused them to fall while Oakland County continued to rise?

well it was like 5-6 am writing that lol...Detroit did put on a great super bowl when they swept all the bums and hookers off the streets and sent them away for a while...but im sure its back to normal now but its pretty simple...shortly before and definitely after the 1967 riots..whites got concerned about their safety and dwindling property values so they decided to move north to places like Southfield and Ferndale and became successful cities and blacks started to catch on moving to those places..so in the past 20-25 years...whites started migrating even northern like west bloomfield and orchard lake...whites took their money out of refurbishing detroit and keeping it modern..rather building Oakland County and also Macomb County...as a result..many parts of Detroit still seems untouched from the 60s...even going down Gratiot..I still see 1967 grafitti...as for visiting Detroit...downtown is cool..just watch your back..but thats anywhere

So it's an almost classic case of urban decay that happens to get a pretty bad rap since it isn't really being fixed?

basically lol and tying back to the original post..I see the same naive way of thinking in new orleans as I see here in Detroit

I visited downtown Ft. Wayne today, looking for a place to live. It's actually a wonderful neighborhood with a ton of history that's just fallen into disrepair. What a shame. The place I visited would've been a lovely studio 30-40 years ago, now it looks like a coldwater tenement with a beat bathroom and junkies next door.
