EricMM Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 I know your's was also, I had just had to make sure that I slid that little fact of truth into my statement that I was asking a question. WP turned his account over to someone or is Matt Youngin' it by now. I'm begging you, Internet, tell me: What is Matt Younging? Can I Matt Young? HAVE I Matt Young? Will I ever Matt Young???
Carnival Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 Evvvvvverybody have fun tonight! Everybody Matt Young tonight.
The Czech Republic Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 Carnival = comeback player of the year
Slayer Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 Matt Youngin' is the thing to do And it doesn't hurt to have a low IQ
Big Ol' Smitty Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 You'll go blind! ...and grow hair on your palms.
Matt Young Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 LOL. And I am willing to bet that my IQ is higher than Slayer's. Matt Young- Matt Youngin' it since 1984.
Guest Princess Leena Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 Maybe Slayer is part of the 5% smarter than you.
Matt Young Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 Maybe Slayer is part of the 5% smarter than you. Highly unlikely, knowing him.
The Czech Republic Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 Matt Young may have a high IQ, but his cultural literacy is low. I don't think Slayer was trying to attack you. Both song parodies were funny, by the way. In response, I think "Matt Youngin'" must refer to the process by which one spirals into blatant self-parody with the intent of pissing everybody off. EDIT: And doesn't he have an M.S. in mathematics? I hate math and think it's lame, but you don't get that far if you're an idiot.
Guest Princess Leena Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 He has a masters in Math? Why isn't he banging CC.
Slayer Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 I wasn't expecting Matt to get the MST parody since I don't think he watches the show, but that statement is laughable Let's see: Book smarts? All over Matt there Real world smarts? I still have both my kidneys. Point to me. Better luck next time, kid.
The Czech Republic Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 Let it be known that I like Slayer and Matt, but Matt needs to choose his battles with more discretion. Come on, it's TSM. Fish in a fuckin' barrel if you want to say you're smarter than 95% of people
Matt Young Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 I wasn't expecting Matt to get the MST parody since I don't think he watches the show, but that statement is laughable No, I tried and didn't enjoy it. Let's see: Book smarts? That's very unlikely, except in the math area, and how would you even know anyway? Real world smarts? Yeah, you can have this.
Slayer Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 Doesn't he have an M.S. in mathematics? I hate math and think it's lame, but you don't get that far if you're an idiot. Just a BS. Tried for an MS but I didn't find graduate math studies to my liking, so I'm pursuing other career opportunities at this time
The Czech Republic Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 Book smarts? That's very unlikely, except in the math area, and how would you even know anyway? Slayer vs. Matt Young, TSM Quiz Bowl. I'll thumb through The New York Times Guide To Essential Knowledge, rattle off shit I know offhand, and we'll see who has book smarts. Language, math, history, psychology, geography, economics, music, anything else. How about it.
Nighthawk Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 My IQ test exploded because I was so smart.
The Czech Republic Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 Maybe they print tests on flash paper. That would've been a cool trick illusion to do in high school.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 Doesn't he have an M.S. in mathematics? I hate math and think it's lame, but you don't get that far if you're an idiot. High school anecdote: I was high as hell in a computer lab one day, and the school's quiz bowl team was practicing in there. I decided to play along, and rattled off almost every answer before them. I was an average student, but I'm excellent at Jeopardy.
The Czech Republic Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 Slayer and I agreed you're probably one of the smartest guys on the board, incidentally

When I went to Canada a few years ago, I got very stoned and almost got a perfect score on NES Jeopardy, which was made not too long after I was born.
Nighthawk Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 Incidentally, just the past couple of days on Jeopardy there was a guy who did extremely well his first show, over 20,000. His next show he got less than 2,000. It made no sense.
Guest Princess Leena Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 I was wondering what one can do with a math degree. Anything besides teacher?
Mik Posted January 21, 2006 Report Posted January 21, 2006 Matt Young is always talking about how smart he is. Man, I hate guys like that.
Slayer Posted January 22, 2006 Report Posted January 22, 2006 I was wondering what one can do with a math degree. I'm not going to break out one of those generalized lists your career counselor would give you, but I personally am looking into being an actuary... I'm taking the first exam next month. If that doesn't work out... something in banking, business or maybe gubment.
