Ring of Honor 4YA results

Recommended Posts

BJ Whitmer defeats Shane Hagadorn with a German Suplex, Dragon Suplex, Powerbomb combination in a match taped for ROHvideos.com

ROH Four Year Anniversary Show

The Briscoe Brothers defeat Tony Mamaluke & Sal Rinauro and Jason Blade & Kid Mikaze in about 8 minutes. Briscoes used a new finisher.

Four Corner Survival

"Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce won the Four Corner Survival with a splash off the top rope. There was a blown spot in the match that deflated the crowd. Match lasted about 10 minutes. Good match.

Samoa Joe defeats Jay Lethal with a musclebuster after 15 minutes.

Christopher Daniels vs BJ Whitmer went to a No Contest. After about 10 minutes, they brawled into the crowd. When attention was on the fight in the crowd, Chris Hero and other CZW wrestlers invaded the ring! Hero started trash talking to ROH fans. Then, students and early match competitors ran out and fought off the CZW. Eventually, Samoa Joe had Chris Hero in a choke. During the brawl, I believe the Briscoes attacked Rod Strong & Austin Aries.

Colt Cabana and Homicide eventually took part in the brawl. They fought eachother on the ramp, and Todd Sinclair came out to start their "ghetto fight".

Homicide defeats Colt Cabana in a "ghetto fight". After 10 minutes, Homicide got Cabana in a choke with a hanger. Todd SInclair rang the bell. Colt recovered, got on the mic, and challenged Homicide to come back out. He did.

Homicide defeats Colt Cabana in a "ghetto fight". Homicide, after five minutes of more fighting, tied Cabana to the ring post somehow and hit him with a chair a couple of times until Todd Sinclair rang the bell. Cabana recovered later, and challenged Homicide to come back out again. He did.

Homicide defeats Colt Cabana in a "ghetto fight". Julius Smokes poured rubbing alcohol all over Cabana's face, and Sinclair rang the bell.

Homicide challenged Colt Cabana to a Fight Without Honor in Chicago.

Now, I'm not sure if these were actual defeats, or if it was a non-finish since Cabana never submitted himself. We may have to clear that up later tonight. Second report- I got a second report from Pusher saying that Todd Sinclair threw the match out because Cabana never submit, nor did Homicide. Seeing as how the only way to win was submission, it seems like this match might not have had a victor. Intermission

May 13 Return.

Bobby Dempsey defeated Mitch Franklin with an Death Valley Driver.

ROH World Championship

American Dragon Bryan Danielson defeats Jimmy Rave. Danielson pinned Rave down to the mat and continuously jabbed elbows to Rave's face until the referee called for the bell. Danielson wins in 35 minutes.

Ricky Reyes beats Jack Evans in about 9 minutes with the Dragon sleeper. Evans did not wrestle in his normal gear. They announced that his flight was late from Japan, and he just arrived to the building.

ROH Tag Team Championships

Austin Aries & Roderick Strong defeat AJ Styles & Matt Sydal when Aries hits the 450 splash. Match lasts about 25 minutes. Afterwards, the Briscoes attacked Aries & Strong. Strong got hit with a doubleteam Jay Driller. Styles & Sydal ran off the Briscoes, and that completes the event.

-the usual source.

Good to see Ring of Honor is taking a break from the marathon matches that used to consistently main event their shows. If you have too many 45+ minute matches, they just start to become boring.

So for RoH, which show is their "Wrestlemania" type? If it's the Anniversary Show, then they didn't do much this year.

Final Battle. They do it similar to Starrcade, last show of the year is the big event.

ROH has 4 *biggie* annual shows

Anniversary Show

Death Before Dishonor

Glory By Honor

Final Battle

Every two years, they do All-Star Extravaganza. Which is usually a loaded card with major significance.

however, this year alot is being put into the 100th show(4/22) and the WM tripleshot weekend in Detroit and Chicago with Dragon Gate being a major attraction along with the Lance Storm/Danielson match.

Considering Cary works the front, I doubt he would let RF enter the premises and I'm sure the fans would've made him unwelcome.

Either just a prank call or someone mislead.

Sounds like a rather MEH show.

And am I the only one totally not liking this push their starting to give BJ?

UGH-city.

Didn't they try to push the hell out of Whitmer when he first came into ROH?

GO LANCE! I've a HUGE Storm fan and from reading commentaries on his site, sounds like he's looking forward to this. I would love it if he wins the belt, but doubtful due to him running his accadamy.

Whitmer is bland as hell. One guy I'd never regret seeing a match from again. Makes Benoit and Danielson look like The Rock in charisma and a complete one move wonder...and even that looks terrible most of the time. Shoulda dumped him when Maff went.

And even that move he jacked from Akiyama.

You would think that ROH would have dumped BJ a long time ago for continuing to be so bland. If Gabe did it to Michael Shane, he should do it for BJ, too.
