Si82 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2006 http://www.nme.com/news/prince/22422 Prince goes Willy Wonka The star hides lucky 'purple tickets' in copies of new album Prince is launching his new album with a Willy Wonka-style competition. The star has aped the book 'Charlie And The Chocolate Factory'[/i] by placing lucky purple tickets inside a few copies of new album '3121'. The tickets will allow the fans who find them to attend a private concert to be held at Prince's Minneapolis home later in the year. A digital version of the prize is also running, with those purchasing single 'Black Sweat' on iTunes also able to win, reports the Detroit News. Meanwhile it's believed that Prince is on the verge of announcing a world tour to promote his new record.

Red Baron 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2006 Hopefully I can afford tickets this year. In 2004, it was an ass-rape for them.

Sideburnious 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2006 Speaking of the Album, has anyone heard it yet. I just supposedly downloaded a copy of it a few mins ago and I'm giving it a listen. If it is the album, it sounds good so far.
Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2006 Single's fun, at least. Surprisingly "I wanna fuck you" from the guy who has really toned it down in the past decade. I suppose there was some of that on Musicology, but "Black Sweat" is way more overt.
Giuseppe Zangara 0 Report post Posted March 11, 2006 Listening to it right now. The first few tracks—which is all I've heard so far—are nice; a throwback to Sign o' the Times-era stuff. In terms of sound, anyway.
Giuseppe Zangara 0 Report post Posted March 11, 2006 That high synth in "Black Sweat" is a little irritating. Also, did the Neptunes do this track? If not, it's a passable imitation.
