BUTT 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2006 Tazz and Michael Cole come out to Tazz's entrance music, which the crowd marks out for. Smackdown begins with Mark Henry coming out and talking about how he should be WHC, etc. Kurt Angle comes out and attacks Henry, Orton then comes out and attacks Angle. Rey comes to the save. Teddy Long comes out and announces the main event for tonight. Kurt Angle and Rey Mysterio vs Orton and Henry. MITB Qualifying Match: Bobby Lashley vs Fit Finlay. Fit Finlay comes out first, but then attacks Bobby Lashley on his way to the ring. The match never begins, and the two carry it into the back. JBL comes out after that match or whatever it was and talks alot. I went to get some popcorn and soda so i didn't hear what he said. William Regal vs Birchhill Regal comes out and explains how Burchill is an embarrassment, etc. Birchill comes out and the match begins. This match was also boring. The crowd chanted 'boring' and 'this match sucks' Burchill wins. hmm..lets see... Booker T and Sharmell come out saying how they were screwed by the boogieman. They have a bag filled with letters from NAACP, who said The Boogeyman is an embarrassment to the African Community. They even got a letter from PETA, saying how Boogeyman eating worms on TV is wrong, and Worms have feelings too. Teddy Long comes out an announces Booker T vs Boogeyman at Saturday Nights Main Event. However, red smoke begins to come from the bag of letters, and the Boogeyman comes out, walks around the ring, eats some worms, and leaves. Animal comes on the Titantron saying how he's always carrying his partners. He carried Hawk in the LOD, saying how Hawk was almost useless. He tried again with Heidenreich, who was a joke. And Last week, Matt Hardy proved to be a joke. He said no more tag teaming for him, and annoucned Matt Hardy vs Animal for SNME, or WM22, cant remember which. Vince McMahon comes out to a thunderous ovation. Before he began speaking, I yelled out "GIVE ME A DAMN JOB, VINCE!!!!" I think it was loud enough to get on TV. Anyways, he says if you chant someones name, they will appear. So he said start chanting "JAY-Z" so we all did. Then some network executive who's initials are "JZ" was shown on the titantron, something about Saturday Night Main Event. I couldn't hear, cause the crowd was so loud. Kristal vs Jillian. Really awesome match to watch, Kristal wins, and then strips in the ring, flaunts a little and leaves. Mark Henry comes out for the main event. Footage is shown outside of Lashley and Finlay fighting in the parking lot. Lashley tips a car over onto Finlay, but Finlay is pulled into safety by security before the car tips. Main Event begins. Me and my friends chanted "RKO" the entire match, even though everyone else was chanting for Rey and Kurt. Some guy had a sign that said "Hey Randy, is Hepatitis Hereditary?" Randy saw it and flipped the guy off. Anyways, The ref is knocked out by Mark Henry. Daivari brings a table into the ring, sets it up, but it breaks. So he brings another one into the ring, sets it up. They throw Rey onto the table, but it breaks..(Stupid cheap southern tables. This probably won't be shown on TV)...Anyways, They get a third table, but kurt comes to save Rey, but Kurt is knocked out onto the table. Mark Henry gets on the top rope and does a big splash onto Kurt. Taker comes on the titantron and announces Undertaker vs Mark Henry at WM22 in a Casket Match. The show ends, and Teddy Long comes out and says since Randy and Henry have so much energy, they can take on Taker in a handicap match. Which leads to.. Randy Orton and Mark Henry vs Undertaker. Man, Undertaker is effin huge in real life. Anyways, Taker kept the advantage almost the entire match, and chokeslammed Mark Henry, then Tombstoned Randy Orton for the win. Tony Chimel thanked everyone for coming. Link. It's from GameFAQs!

Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2006 It should have just been Hardy and MnM (since they dont appear to be using them in a tag match). Do Lashley/Finlay one on one.

UZI Suicide 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2006 Animal comes on the Titantron saying how he's always carrying his partners. He carried Hawk in the LOD, saying how Hawk was almost useless. Pathetic. So which deceased wrestler is the WWE going to shit on next? Also.. why do I have this sinking feeling in my stomach that Lashley is going to win MITB? Guest DanNJ316 Report post Posted March 8, 2006 Who did Benoit piss off to not get booked on Smackdown two weeks in a row? He's only the US Champion for god's sake. I guess they're going to have to bring back the Yokozuna Memorial "Double wide, Double deep" casket for Mark Henry.

Fökai 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2006 With an attempt to edit a GameFaqs post on little sleep... Velocity/Dark Matches Matt Hardy v. Chuck Palumbo Nothing special here, Hardy hits the leg drop, wins with the twist of fate. After the match Animal ran out and jumped Hardy. -- Simon Dean v. Super Crazy Dean got on the mic and said he couldn’t believe Super Crazy was so lazy he had to ride a lawnmower to the ring. This was a great match, I miss Nova. Lot of cool chain wrestling. I can’t remember the exact finish, but Crazy won. -- Scotty 2 Hotty and Funaki v. Jamie Noble and Kid Kash This was a pretty good match, for a Scotty 2 Hotty match. I love Noble and Kash, Jamie was the man in ROH. Lot of cool double team maneuvers from Jamie and Kash. The end came when Scotty was going for the worm and Noble hit him from behind and nailed him with the tiger driver. -- Tatanka v. Jobber See ten years ago. Winner: Tatanka. -- WWE Tag Team Championship MNM v. Paul London and Brian Kendrick This was an excellent match, everyone needs to watch Velocity this week. London hit a drop-sault on Nitro and landed on Mercury for the cover, it was cool. London had the match won twice but Kendrick or Melina distracted both times the ref. Melina pushed Paul off the top rope when he went for the London Star Press. MNM went for the snap shot but Kendrick hit a super kick on Mercury, and London DDTed Nitro! I really thought they had it there but MNM threw Kendrick out and hit the snap shot on London. 1-2-3 Winners and still champs: MNM -- SMACKDOWN Mark Henry comes down with Daivari and said he was overlooked. Batista overlooked him and he hurt him so bad he had to give up the title. Then Angle overlooked him, Teddy Long overlooked him and Undertaker overlooked him for a title shot, he called Angle out. Angle told Henry he was a wrestling machine and hit the ring, they brawled, Orton ran down and jumped Angle. Double team time till Rey makes the save, he ended up getting smashed by Henry. Theodore Long came out and made the main event match up, Henry and Orton vs. Mysterio and Angle. -- Money in the Bank Qualifier Finlay v. Lashley This one didn’t even make it to the ring, Finlay nailed lashley with the shalalee and they brawled all the way back stage. -- Next out was JBL. He thanked us for all of our get -well cards. He then talked about how Stone Cold left his name out when discussing the greatest Texan wrestlers of all time with wwe.com. He challenged Stone Cold to a beer-drinking contest at SNME. -- William Regal v. Pirate Paul Burchill Burchill swung out on a big rope. His entrance video is kind of funny. This was the sleeper of the night, the crowd didn’t know who to cheer for. Burchill won with the exploder suplex. -- Booker T came out with Sharmell, he had a bag of complaint letters about the Boogeyman, and this was some funny ****. Theodore Long told him he could take up all his complaints with the Boogeyman at SNME. Just then red smoke came out of the bag, and the Boogeyman came out. Booker and Sharmell took off through the crowd, Boogeyman dumped out the bag of letters but it was full of worms, which he proceeded to eat. -- Backstage we see Gregory Helms sporting an Owen Wilson like nose job. He tells Long his nose was broken during the overseas tour. Theodore says he feels bad and for making Helms defend the cruiser weight title every week, and tonight he will get a break . . . from defending the title, because tonight he will face Chris Benoit! -- Jillian Hall vs. Kristal This was a "Diva’s Undressed" match. Jillian has a nice nice body. Winner: Kristil -- Gregory Helms vs. Chris Benoit This match was fun, lots of chain wrestling and rest holds. Benoit hit a nice German, Helms hit the eye of the hurricane. Benoit locked in the sharpshooter but Helms made it to the ropes. Helms tried to leave but Noble, London, Kendrick, and Kash threw him back in the ring. Helms went for a shining wizard but Benoit ducked and nailed a huge release German suplex. Top rope headbutt, and then he applied the corssface right on Helms broken nose. Helms tapped right away. Winner: Chris Benoit -- They showed an Animal promo on the screen where he said he was the road warrior, not hawk or Hidenright. He’ll have a match with Hardy either next week. Then they showed Lashley and Finlay battle outside, Lashley flipped a car over and it nearly crushed Finlay. -- Rey Mysterio and Kurt Angle vs. Randy Orton and Mark Henry Great ovation, crowd was hot for everyone. Angle and Orton in particular have great chemistry. Another BS finish when Orton slammed Angle into the steps and Henry splashed the ref in the corner. Daivari got a table and set it up and it broke. He got another table and put Rey on it and when he did the leg fell off. He got a third table and set Rey up for a splash but Angle made the save. Angle tried to suplex henry off the top rope through the table but he pushed him off and then splashed Angle through the table!!!! Taker’s music hit and he said he’d face Henry at WM22 in a CASKET MATCH. End of Smackdown. Undertaker came out and fought Orton and Henry in a handicap match. Taker won with a tombstone on Orton! Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2006 A casket match @ WM? wow. You know, Henry/Taker could have been a decent, even good short brawl type match that suits Undertaker's skills. Making it a casket match, forces a negative formula. I guess, with Henry's contract running out very soon (and I haven't heard anything about an re-signing), they wanted have a metaphorical conclusion to the worse talent investment in it's history. BTW, Angle shouldn't be lifting Henry up off the top rope, much less taking big table bumps. Lashley/Finlay continues to look good. I hope Animal/Hardy is just next week as a MitB qualifyer to get Matt into the match (extra bumpers never hurt). Lashley/Finlay should be a one-on-one match @ Mania. MnM Vs Kendrick-London, should be used at Mania, but i'm thinking they'll forget about MnM. If anything, stick MnM into the MITB match. (It's not like SD has any credible mid-carders anyways, might as well push the "team" part of MnM against the other 4 guys)

I don't know. Either way it is a poor choice of opponent for Taker, but maybe they'll step up. Lashley vs Finlay sounds interesting but I'm not sure about making it to Mania. Lashley could be a good addition to the MITB match. Hardy is a must for that match, IMO. If you have to do Animal vs Hardy please make it on SNME and put Matt on the MITB match already. MNM vs Kendrick/London at Mania could be sweet but I figure the Mexicools have more of a chance of making it to the Mania card, that is, if MNM are placed at Mania at all. I think they deserve to be. How about a three-way for the Titles? MNM vs Spanky/London vs Mexicools could have potential to be a show-stealer. Looking forward to this week's Velocity and Benoit vs Helms. LivingLegendGaryColeman 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2006 Hardy is a must for that match, IMO. If you have to do Animal vs Hardy please make it on SNME and put Matt on the MITB match already. Hardy would be great to bump around in that match, but after the last few months of how he's been booked, it'd be hard to buy him in a #1 contendor's match. Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2006 Hardy is a must for that match, IMO. If you have to do Animal vs Hardy please make it on SNME and put Matt on the MITB match already. Hardy would be great to bump around in that match, but after the last few months of how he's been booked, it'd be hard to buy him in a #1 contendor's match. No, it wouldn't be easy to take him seriously. However, it isn't that hard to give him a slight push. Focus on his familiarity with ladder matches (while Shelton and RVD have had a couple ladder matches to their credit, Matt is more asscociated with Ladders, then those two). Since they love to shoot so much these days, address that a year ago, Matt was scheduled to be in the MitB match but he got screwed out of it. It gives him character and reasoning, beyond just being semi-over guy who can bump. You already have two stars who the crowd will go bonkers over (RVD and Flair), give Matt Hardy an reason to be in it. Finlay and Lashley, really don't fit into the match at this point. It's a heated feud and it shouldn't be dealt with in a gimmick match where their issue takes a back-seat. Booker T could easily take another spot because he could bring the comedy that can take the edge off the awkward transitions between spots. Besides, Booker T is a slightly more credible threat then Finlay is at this point (in terms of status). Since Booker probably wouldn't take too many bumps and could actually just commentate during his own match, setting up the obvious comedy spot where he gets beat down by the other five men involved. It also allows them to do something with Boogeyman, who could do something spooky to cost Booker the match. I'm not sure who would round out the match for Smackdown, since JBL/Benoit are booked...and I can't see Boogeyman involved in a ladder match. You could slide in a Mexi-Cool or 1/2 the Kendrick/London team but those 4 guys are less credible then Matt Hardy. Which says alot.
pochorenella 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2006 The only SD! guys that are not otherwise engaged for Mania that are over/credible enough to be placed in the MITB are Hardy and Booker. Lashley I figure will be placed pretty much by default. Also, you need a big, powerful guy a la Kane last year, so he fits the bill. I agree with Hawk regarding Matt Hardy. Give him a slight push, reference his ladder match experience and he shouldn't be hard to accept as a contender. The Mexicools and MNM could bring the highspots and the big bumps but I'd rather put them in a Tag Title match as I mentioned before.
Guest Phoenix Report post Posted March 8, 2006 You know something. I do not think I can recall a time where the Undertaker has won a Casket Match except for the one in which Kane came out to help him. Mark Henry could cut a promo and bring this up. Saying "You can't even win a match that you invented without help from your brother. What makes you think you can put me, The Worlds Strongest Man, in a Casket?" If you look at the history of a Casket Macth the streak could be in danger. Even though it will be 14-0.
