Art Sandusky Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 Way too difficult. Refer to the John Titor story to what I think it'll be like in 50 years, not the 30 that his tale would profess. But anything more than a half-century in the future is fuckin' impossible.
Guest Arnold_OldSchool Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 100 years: 500 years: 1000 years: "The FUCK you lookin' at?"
Stephen Joseph Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 I think more and more "FUBAR'ed" I'm not very hopeful.
Guest Vitamin X Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 I don't know, but I know Tracy McGrady's not going to be a Laker by then, either.
Guest tony manero Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 I don't know, but I know Tracy McGrady's not going to be a Laker by then, either. If Odom can be consistent, McGrady can stay a Rocket.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 I really hope that in 1000 years everything is like Futurama or Im going to be pissed.
Twisted Intestine Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 100 years - The Earth is nothing more but a toxic waste land. The rich and important are now living in a space station, and there are a few rebel groups in stolen space ships. SPACE PIRATES~! 500 years - After a final war, the rebel groups have destroyed the rich and powerful, who were responsible for the destruction of Earth in the first place, and are rebuilding the planet with the help of ET life. 1000 years - Society has been rebuilt under a new rule. The human race now occupies two planets, including Earth, and are part of a universal organization and network. There is unity amung mankind.
Sideburnious Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 Still third planet from the sun...maybe second.
Guest tony manero Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 I read the John Titor story last night, and although he's obviously not a time traveler from the year 2036, a lot of his predictions seem somewhat plausible. I could definitely see a nuclear holocaust within the next thirty years that wipes off half the world's population, causing a reversion back to community-based, familial relations. As for the advent of time travel, I don't think that will be possible for at least another 100 or so years. Then again, humans may have already peaked...
spman Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 As long as we keep schmucks like Kim Jon Il who may very well be unbalanced mentally, from having Nukes, we'll be fine. Even crazies like the Iranians, who shouldn't have them either, aren't stupid enough to actually use them
Art Sandusky Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 We won't be reduced to more local interaction by a nuclear conflict. That part was wrong. It'll be due to the dropoff in oil production, which will be just as fast as the trek to peak production was. Anywhere between now and 2013, peak production will be reached. It's all downhill from there. Everything we have has been built by fossil fuels.
2GOLD Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 10 years from now it'll look like 3 years from now. Only with fashion that makes your eyes bleed and girls with huge asses and chests but they won't be considered beauties since thin will still be in to a point of making those who hate the drug abuse look gag. So basically, the same. And where do I see the world 100 years from now? I won't, I'll be dead so screw it.

iggymcfly Posted March 21, 2006 Report Posted March 21, 2006 1 second after I die, the world ceases to be significant, if it doesn't cease to exist altogether. So unless I live to be 120, fuck it.
