NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted March 11, 2006 I work in a relatively upper middle - upper class part of town, and I find it funny because everytime a new Thai or Vietnamese joint opens, the prices are jacked up a lot. Now I attribute some of that due to the rent of the facilities to probably cost a lot more then other places of town, but I also think they take real advantage of the trendy rich kids willing to spend their parents money on "that spicy noodle soup stuff" lol. Is it the same where you guys live? I can literally go to the same place where I LIVE, and get the same dishes for $3-$5 less then if I go to similar places around where I WORK. kkktookmybabyaway 0 Report post Posted March 11, 2006 $3-5 less? I'm a cheap bastard, but I'm not that bad. When I was in Ohio, it was kinda like that, but not where I live now. Then again, the Shittsburgh area and its surrounding communities aren't known for their trendiness.
Guest Brian Report post Posted March 11, 2006 It depends how large of an ethnic concentration is in the area. If there's a good deal and it function as an urban center, it's probably some good grub and quality stuff. If not, it's usually a trendy deal.
