June Pointer of the Pointer Sisters

It was just put on CNN.com as a news alert that the youngest of the Pointer Sisters, June, has died of cancer.

 

I know this isn't mind numbing for most of you, but still sad to hear.

 

The Pointer Sister were probably most well known for "I'm So Excited" in National Lampoon's Vacation, where Chevy Chase fantasizes about the hot blonde in the fast, red car.

The first record I bought was a 45 of JUMP at a yard sale. Thats all I got when it comes to the Pointer Sisters. RIP

Pointer Sisters were probably one of the greatest female recording artists of all time. "Jump" (For My Love) was one of my personal favorites, as well.
