Scroby 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2006 So in a new change, apprently the people who run Fantasy is not counting "extreme rules" matches as speciality matches anymore and are giving points to weapon shots during those matches. So now the rules have changed AGAIN, which I shouldn't complain because I got weapon points for Sandman and Sabu but its confusing to those who are not paying attention to what rules are changing. Then again I should complain because I should have gotten more points since I had Sandman last week and apprently his Cane shots didn't count during his match. Scroby 0 Report post Posted June 30, 2006 So after looking at the stats for the week so far, I realized that Sabu got screwed out of a lot of points. Sabu didn't get points for being in a Extreme Rules match, which was once considered as a speicality match when the matches started happening but I guess now they are not. He got no points for any of the weapon shots that took place during the match and even though he hit two of his singature moves three times, he only got points for one of them. Sabu hit the Arabian facebuster once, and locked the Camel Clutch in twice, but only got points for one of those moves. Roadkill would have got screwed out of some points as well. I worte them asking about that, I also asked why Extreme rule matches are not counted as speicality matches anymore and why object shots don't count in extreme rule matches since they are just regular matches now. I also took a little shot at them as well. I put down "You guys can't raise the salary cap during the season but you guys sure can change the scoring rules around in the middle of the season can't you? That makes a lot of sense doesn't it?" DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2006 I wish I would have loaded up some SD! guys for the battle royal being advertised on WWE.com - I think it was there earlier in the day and I just ignored it because I thought it was yet another story about Rey being an underdog with his world title. I assumed Sabu was going to be RVD's partner tonight with all the talk of him "being ok to wrestle tonight" but alas WWE changed the match and now I'm thinking Sabu won't even be on ECW tomorrow, so that might end up being $4m wasted. Glad I picked Edge though.
Jebus 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2006 Kinda unfair of wwe.com to add the Highlanders like 2 hours before time expires on roster moves...I got work on Monday afternoon! Maybe it's for the best, as I probably would've sold some Smackdown guys that actually got big points this week.

Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted July 4, 2006 Apologies for my dead team. I left for a week, and forgot all about it... plus, I'm working late now, so I have to make my picks Sunday, which is quite a disadvantage and causes me to never remember anyway. MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2006 The Highlanders were on there last week but I couldnt see spending $4 million on the two of them. I had Cena/RVD/Edge though this week which were 3 of the top 4 guys so far. I figured they'd all be in the triple threat match, and then RVD and Edge in a title match..this was before RVD got busted. Edge got 55 points, RVD got 47 and Cena got 24..bleh. I also had Umaga who got 20 points and Nitro who got 12. Orton laid an egg with just appearance points, and I've got Finlay and Lashley on SD which should be good points as well. Next week should be interesting considering theres a SNME and no matches announced for that aside from DX vs Spirit Squad..and it would be nice to be able to pick guys that will be on RAW/SD and SNME, and I doubt ECW will be involved. Im also the highest Ive been in rankings at 23rd
Guest JaKyL25 Report post Posted July 13, 2006 Hello all. I haven't been here on TSM in over 2 years, but I happened across the site again while Googling WWE Fantasy. This is my first season, and I was just looking for info on how often they ran. Anyway, as a member of a very competitve league already (The GameFAQs Pro Wrestling Board league), I'm impressed that the infamous "I hate wrestling" comes from TSM. Congrats. My team is "The 25 Hitmen." Currently 113th in the world, but I've been as high as 36th. Current score: 2102 I think I'll go check out the other forums now. MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2006 Taker might actually be worth 5 million this week given an ECW title match and the stupid Punjabi Prison Match at the PPV. Up til now he only had 3 points and they were for his SNME appearance. I loaded up on Smackdown for this week anyway.

Guest Scud Report post Posted July 18, 2006 I just received an email from one of the people working for the WWE Fantasy Weekly show named James Patts. He wants to interview me over the phone for the next Fantasy Weekly webcast. "Questions asked would be about; drafting strategy? Why you chose the name I Hate Wrestling? This interview should take no longer than 5 minutes." Is this uncommon? Do they usually interview people for the show?

DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2006 This is the first season they've had a show, so there really isn't a "do they usually do this?" mold of things to go on right now. The best you can say is they haven't interviewed anyone for the show yet. I think Season 1's winner was interviewed for a general WWE.com piece, though. Guest Scud Report post Posted July 19, 2006 I just got done with the interview. It was pretty awkward and it will be interesting to me to see how they edit it into the show. It was more like having a conversation with someone on the phone than it was an interview. I got asked who would be a good pick for week 10 and I said The Highlanders and he said something about them having beards and I just kind of echoed what he said. I'm sure that will make it into the show. The guy kept wanting me to call him Todd and wanted me to "cut a promo" on the other players. I said something about Todd Grisham being a terrible ring announcer and said for him not to quit his day job. Overall, it should be cringeworthy and everyone should check it out later in the week if they want to have a good laugh at my expense.
DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted July 21, 2006 You should have pimped the league! Seriously though, I look forward to seeing what if anything is done with this on WWE.com
DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2006 http://www.wwe.com/content/media/video/pro...asy?section=%2F "On the phone: I hate wrestling" That's pretty damn funny. The interview has Todd mocking your show watching advice. It's kinda seamless towards the end how they make it seem like Todd is really talking to you. Did you really say you can't do Todd's job better than him because "I'm a big loser"?

Did you really say you can't do Todd's job better than him because "I'm a big loser"? I haven't watched yet but yea I said that. I thought the whole interview was just going to be me being made fun of and I even asked the guy who interviewed me if that was the case (I made it clear I didn't have a problem if that was the case) and he seemed kind of surprised I thought that. I remember him laughing really hard immediately after I said that and he said "Oh, that's not nice." I said something trying to make fun of Grisham and the guy immediately retorted back with something about how he hosts all these shows like Heat for example, then he asked me if I thought I could do a better job, I said "No, I am a big loser." We were stepping over what each other said during that part of the conversation so that's interesting that it made it on there. I remember saying something about "watching the shows helps" when they asked me for advice. The other thing I remember saying was that "playing this game makes watching the shows more enjoyable." I didn't want to openly admit that watching Raw is really damn boring and that I just watch to see if my picks score points. Smackdown comes on during Saturday night where I live so I don't even bother watching it.
Guest Scud Report post Posted July 22, 2006 I just finished watching it. They did some fancy editing to make that fit in there. The part where I talk about watching the shows is from two different questions. They asked me about the Great American Bash and I believe that's where I repeated what I had said earlier, so they just edited the two parts together to make me look like an even bigger jackass. When I said "kissing your BUTT won't get you anywhere" the interviewer wanted me to repeat what I said but mention the name Todd (I had forgot I was pretending to speak to Grisham) he hung up on me (accidently), called me back, asked the same question and I gave a completely different response. Ending on the "I'm a big loser" made me laugh. All of the negative stuff I said was kept in the interview. It wasn't as embarassing as I thought it would be. During the middle of the phone call, the guy just yelled out "HOW ARE THINGS IN APPLE GROVE," which was confusing and I responded with "....okay." He then asked if there were any wrestling fans in Apple Grove and wanted to know how many. It was strange. I'm glad that part didn't make it in. I thought it was going to be in there at the beggining. EDIT: Is anyone else having trouble logging in? I'm getting "HTTP 500 - Internal server error" when I go to the log in page.
