Hawk 34 Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 Hey an OU guy gets picked in the first round. Wasn't expecting that. Oh well when we're going to have the possible #1 guranteed top 3 pick next season it doesn't really matter. I hope they're not considering Joseph as a Tackle. I thought he was really bad this season at Tackle. He's so much better at Guard. Make sure his parents aren't living in someone else's house without paying rent first.

I'm sure the cost of living is a LOT lower in BFE, Texas, than it is in suburban San Diego...
teke184 Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 The Bengals take Johnathan Joseph, DB, South Carolina.
Vampiro69 Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 I don't think a Miami player has been chosen yet.
teke184 Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 No Miami players yet, but there have been a shitload from Florida State.
teke184 Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 Yahoo Sports has illuminated on possbilities for *Lendale White*'s slide. USC halfback Lendale White's draft stock is plummeting due to a reported failed drug test. Just a total shock. It's no big deal though, according to White. “(The NFL) ain’t worried about it,” White told the L.A. Daily News. EDIT- Whoops, wrong Trojan. Thought it was Winston Justice at first.
yankovic fan Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 I hear Wroten from LSU has been burning herb too, hurting his stock. He wasn't projected until the 2nd round anyway, but just thought I'd throw that bit in.
Vampiro69 Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 Boy that is not a good sign. Bad Hammy and now a possible failed drug test, and he says that he isn't Maurice Clarrett? The guy isn't helping his cause.

He wasn't projected until the 2nd round anyway, but just thought I'd throw that bit in. It's more than a rumor in Wroten's case. Dumb motherfucker got popped by the cops with a lot of money and herb on hand between the Peach Bowl and the Senior Bowl, which is why he was dismissed from the Senior Bowl team. Trafficking charges were dropped but he still pissed off a LOT of NFL people between those problems and some subpar performances at the combine.
Conspiracy_Victim Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 Steelers trade up. LenDale White maybe? Edit: Nope, Santonio Holmes
teke184 Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 WTF? Steelers have traded up to the #25 slot from the #32 slot. Steelers pick Santonio Holmes, WR, Ohio State.
yankovic fan Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 If they wanted a Ranel-El replacement, they could have gone with Michael Robinson or Brad Smith. (assuming the whole former QB dynamic)
Vampiro69 Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 Well they needed someone to replace Randle-El.
teke184 Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 Well they needed someone to replace Randle-El. It's not like there was that big of a drop in WR quality if they'd waited 7 slots to pick at their original position. The WR crop is pretty much crap here, which is partially because so many guys like Larry Fitzgerald have come out early over the last few years.
mike546 Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 I don't get this trade for the Giants. Why are they letting the Steelers take Holmes when the Giants NEED a WR?
Guest StylesMark Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 Giants get a 3rd and 4th round pick. I'm baffled.
Vampiro69 Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 I don't like the pick the Steelers made, but I can sort of understand it.
teke184 Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 The Bills pick John McCargo, DT, NC State, after acquiring the Bears' pick.
BX Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 This is the farthest reach I've seen in quite a while.
Vampiro69 Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 If NC State had all these defensive players getting drafted, why was the team so average last year?
BX Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 Wow! FINALLY! Carolina with an undeniable STEAL.
teke184 Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 I think that Irvin has been hitting the rock again because he's talking shit about NC State again, going back to the "Mario Williams sucks" meme. Also, Carolina picks D'Angelo Williams, RB, Memphis.
teke184 Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 I think NC State's problems were on the *offensive* side of the ball, not the defensive one.
Vampiro69 Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 Williams is a good RB, but I am not sure if his style fits with the Panthers.
