Add to that that its about three years too late, Rush Hour 2 came out in what, 2002? ::goes to IMDB:: 2001. Sheesh, you would think that it would have gotten made by 2004 at the latest.

The Dark Knight - July/18th/2008. Angels & Demons (prequel* to The Da Vinci Code) - December/12th/2008. *Since there was no reference to the events of Angels & Demons in the film The Da Vinci Code, there is speculation that the film will act as a sequel to the film, rather than a prequel as the book was.
