Stars Julia Stiles, Liev Schreiber and Mia Farrow. Official Homepage June 9th From Beyond Directors Cut-The Directors cut of Stuart Gordon's 1986 follow up to "Re-Animator" will see it's debut on the Monsters HD channel on this date, with a DVD release date to be announced sometime this year. June 13th Cemetary Man-Well, it's been a long wait, but the Italian Zombie classic from 1994 finally makes it's DVD debut in the US on this date. June 20th The Hills Have Eyes-Alexandre Aja's remake of the 1977 classic comes to DVD on this date as an unrated director's cut. July 14th Pulse-Remake of the Japanese Horror film Kristen Bell, Ian Somerhalder, Steve Talley and Cristina Milian. Deals with a website that allows ghosts to enter our world. Official Homepage July 18th Carnivale-Both Season two and a box set of the complete two seasons come out on this date Subject Two-Acclaimed Festival Favorite deals with a doctor who creates a resurrection formula and tests it on a man by killing him and resurrecting him-over and over again. August 4th Fragile-A nurse at a closing childrens hospitle played by Calista Flockhart tries to protect the patients from a malevolent spirit. Official Hompage August 8th Tromeo and Juliet-Special 2-Disk 10th anniversery edition. Healraiser III: Hell On Earth (Special Edition) August 15th Do You Like Hitchcock?-Latest from Dario Argento. August 18th Snakes On A Plane-I'm not going to say anything, because if I did, it's probably already been said Official Hompage August 25th Pan's Labyrinth-Guillermo del Toro's latest (which was a part of the competion in Cannes) deals with a girl who, in post WWII Spain, finds herself in a garden maze behind her home-and finds strange creatures. Trilogy of Terror Set For August Release The Descent-Neil Marshall's acclaimed follow up to "Dog Soldiers" deals with six women who end up fighting for their lives in a caving trip. Official Hompage The Ordeal-After a while, it seems like this French horror/black comedy, that's been said to be a mix of Deliverence and expressionist cinema, makes it's debut in August as a limited release.

randomguy Posted May 31, 2006 Report Posted May 31, 2006 HR3 would have been 10 times better without Terry Farrel in the lead, her acting was atrocious and singlehandedly ruined many scenes, including the pivotal one.

The first one's pretty fucking overrated, and the rest of 'em seem to have some good plots and decent pacing but just suffer from a lack of overall quality. Mmmmmm...Tromeo & Juliet 2-disc, you say? I'm so fucking there. Got Terror Firmer and Citizen Toxie 2-disc sets already, so now I can see the first "good" Troma flick on digital quality. Definitely need to check out Cemetery Man and From Beyond as well.
Gary Floyd Posted June 1, 2006 Author Report Posted June 1, 2006 Interesting Fact: "Dagon" was originally meant to be the follow up to "Re-Animator" (and was going to be called "The Shadow Over Innsmouth", which the movie is based on) but the studio thought it was too weird, and had no major appeal. Ironically, "From Beyond" is considerably weirder than "Dagon". I'm still waiting for the DVD date to that one being announced. Also, I always thought that "Hellraiser III" was the beginning of the downfall of the series. Here, Pinhead became more of a jokey Freddy Kreugeresque character, and all of the Cenobites were goofy instead of frightning or S&M based.
