KingPK 0 Report post Posted June 9, 2006 Goddamn, people brought it tonight. LOTS of good matches that furthered angles and also had some very good action. Bruce and Rando have been great additions to our ranks since they bring the quality along with everyone else. Though (and I'm not bitching here), it would be nice if people kind of spread out these good matches so that we don't have HDs that are a bunch of promos/squashes and one match that I have to make Main Event because there has to be one. Still, well done. MOTN: (tie) Zack v. Faqu/KC's six-person tag. EDIT: Zack, I wrote that little Blonde/Faqu interaction because I needed something to go into break and it made sense for them to hype each other up before their individual matches. The Amazing Rando 0 Report post Posted June 9, 2006 My "match" had to be a squash for reasons made clear during the cage match
Bruce Blank 0 Report post Posted June 9, 2006 Well since I'm working 2 storylines I'll guarantee at least 1 match for each show that won't just be a squash match, I'm slowly getting the hang of this. I haven't read all of it so far but I got one word AWESOME!
KingPK 0 Report post Posted June 9, 2006 X-Title match is edited in.
Tony149 0 Report post Posted June 9, 2006 You can always count on the guys to bring it the week after a PPV. Top to bottom an excellent show. Now crappy feedback. I'd edit in my thoughts on the X-Title match when I get around to reading it. at El Oveja. Good to see Los Diablos de Feugo get some air time, but were they double booked on purpose or just one of those things where it just turned out that way? Nice teaser for SP's/Angelus return. I know I've said it before, but the use of fronts really enhances the look of the show. Jumbo squash. It just now occurred to me that squash matches are an excellent way of keeping characters with no current storyline in the spotlight so they don't collect dust like Los Diablos did for a while. Why I never thought about that before I don't know. RIP John Tenta, indeed. I was a mark for Earthquake back in the day. Another solid promo from MMoM. Didn't expect to see Colombian Heat pick up the win over Gibraltar even if he was by DQ. I guess you could say Heat was busting Gibraltar's balls at the end there. But it was Heat who was laid out when it was all said and done. Leon & D*LUX with some male bonding. Or just chilling. One or the other. But they're ready for the Beverly Hills Blonds and Gunner. And what a 6-man it was. Match of the Night. Such angry Canadians with that vuglar chant directed towards Ned. at Ned wanting Jade to kiss his boo-boo, if you will. Woo-hoo! Battle Royal next week. The S.I.T. stuff is great. Plus we got an apperance from DDD. I'm interested to see how they fare in a match. I admit, I thought Cuban Wall had beaten TK after the chokeslam. I was wrong. Two good false finishes, with the chokeslam and then the smashing of the Corporate Title after SJ's return. PR did a good job explaining his reason for bringing back the Corporate Title. I was a bit surprised to see Otaku and Heavenly Rockers beat Brock and Team Heyross. I thought for sure the heels were gonna win. Still, a damn good 6-man. I can't recall a group of outsiders being put over so strongly in a promotion since Hall and Nash's return to WCW in 1996. And from what I've seen, the Wildcards haven't been neutered either. First a battle royal next week and now a lumberjack match? Wow. Next week is looking good. The ME felt like a main event. Lots of stuff going on. The biggest being Faqu winning the belt and the Wildcards finally snapping on Zack. I kinda figured this would be the week since his match would be in a cage, and nothing beats a good beat-down inside a cage. MOTN: D*LUX/Leon Rodez vs. Beverly Hills Blonds/Gunner (the ME coming in a close second, but I had to give it to KC)
King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted June 10, 2006 Good to see Los Diablos de Feugo get some air time, but were they double booked on purpose or just one of those things where it just turned out that way? One of those things. I wrote my match in about an hour and didn't announce it because I wasn't sure I'd have time to even do that. So neither me nor whoever wrote the tag match (Rando?) obviously knew we had similiar plans.
Bruce Blank 0 Report post Posted June 10, 2006 I had no clue they were being used elsewhere, they were a jobber cruiserweight team which fit with what I wanted to do so I used them without updating my "Blank & Cortez Vs Someone" post
