While he's extremely stubborn, will grind out the last word in any conversation, and can be insulting at times, he's a very intelligent and good poster when he wants to be.

 

As much as people are pointing out his bad posts, people on the other side of the arguments were just as bad. Unfortunately, some of those people had/have power. That's how things go around here.

There are a few bad parts about Mike, such as when he'll debate meanings of single words for an entire page. That's not entirely his fault either, and he's entitled to believe what he wants to, whether you guys like it or not.

 

The problem here is that he tried to enforce his belief on others too much. It doesn't bother me, but some people are thin-skinned.

 

Everyone has their moments.

 

However, this isn't fair to him because he can't defend himself. So we should stop, because insulting him like this is pretty bad.

Nice attempt at spinning it, but his own posting got him banned, nothing else. Any intelligence a person has is negated when their chosen form of discourse with others is shoving your fingers in your ears and insisting on your own point of view being correct and browbeating anyone who disagrees. Making the problem worse were all the people in the old CE who would just simply let him handle arguments with people and go "yeah, he's right!" but never offer anything of their own. CE wasn't even the problem. The guy managed to piss off people in the Sports, TNA, and Movie folders as well (remember the Farenheit 9/11 thread, anyone?), so his banning was rather late in coming. The place is better off without him and all of the people who slurped up whatever xenophobic and ignorant arguments dribbled out of his ass.

Oh come on. Mike was a good guy. He'd get out of hand now and then, but seriously: banning MikeSC caused The Pit. Think about it. Besides, the NEW Better CE is just the same as it was when Mike and Marney ran the show, except now it's Y2Jerk and NoCalMike doin' their thing.
