OAO "Blade: The Series" Thread.

Recommended Posts

I like the twist, the fact that the writers had everyone believing Chase sided with Marcus, but she actually sided with Cthhon, it should be interesting though to see how that plays out next season, because she is still only a half-blood so she will never be fully accepted by the pure-bloods, but she also fucked over Marcus so where does that leave her?

Also, didn't that one dirty cop who started out as a familiar, Boone, that they turned, never actually die? They THOUGHT they killed him, but then they showed the shot of him still alive, but then he never appeared for the rest of the season. Hopefully he re-emerges next season.

Good stuff!!!

Blade: The Series Cancelled.

Source: THEOcracy, September 29th, 2006.

THEOcracy has picked up a post from Jill Wagner, who stated that SpikeTV has cancelled Blade: The Series:

Just wanted to say thanks again to all of you who supported me and Blade: The Series. I was just informed today that there will be NO 2nd season of Blade: The Series. I really enjoyed playing Krista and i hope that i did her justic at least for one season! However, that is not the end of Jill Wagner's acting career. I will keep you guys posted on what's next for me. Again i say thanks for the support. Hey, there is always the DVD right????

The series started off strong early in the season but lost viewers as it went on.

Well that sucks.

That's a bummer. As much as I hate to say it, I think that pilot episode was just not strong enough to convince people to come back. There just wasn't enough BLADE in the first episode of a show called BLADE to keep a lot of viewers around.

Truthfully the first episode was really boring and I knew it was going to hurt the series. It got so much better after that but the first one was horrid.

Been like if they had done Battlestar Galattica and the first episode was 2 hours long with 5 minutes of anything involving the Galattica. That was the BLADE first episode. It was about 1:30 about everyone else and then "oh hey look! Blade showed up!...and he's gone again"

Hopefully they'll put some kind of conclusion/extra episodes on the DVD set. Or maybe Sci-Fi will pick it up for a second season.

For the amount of horrible programming Sci-Fi puts out there, I am SOOO hoping they try and pick it up for a 2nd season.

This fucking sucks.

That's pretty much it right there. The debut got the highest ratings SpikeTV has ever seen since RAW left, and those numbers never carried over. They only got worse as the show went on.
