CZW and CHIKARA with HUGE July Shows!

Recommended Posts

CHIKARA presents The Crushing Weight of Mainstream Ignorance - Saturday, July 22, 2006 at the American Legion Hall - 935 Main St. in Hellertown, PA

**********************************

Mask Vs. Hair Match

"A Wrestling Riddle Wrapped in an Enigma" JIGSAW Vs. "The Winged Ring Warrior" ICARUS (rep. The Kings of Wrestling)

June 23rd - Team F.I.S.T. costs Jigsaw & Shane Storm a bout with the Thomaselli Brothers. Storm & Jigsaw then cost Team F.I.S.T. a bout against The Colony

June 24th - Storm & Jigsaw defeat Team F.I.S.T. when the referee stops the match due to CHIKARA's "Excesivo de Castigo" rule, where F.I.S.T. continued to brutalize Jigsaw despite being able to gain a pinfall and chose not to.

June 25th - New Alhambra Arena - An amazing bout between Team F.I.S.T. & Claudio Castagnoli against Jigsaw, Storm, and Mike Quackenbush is stopped when Icarus rips off Jigsaw's mask in a disgusting move. CHIKARA Comissioner Bob Saget appears on the video screen, booking a Hair Vs. Mask bout for July 22nd!

***********************************

First Time Ever!

CZW World Champion & 1/2 of CHIKARA's Campeones de Parejas CHRIS HERO Vs. "The Unionized Traffic Regulator" SHANE STORM

June 23rd-25th - Shane Storm has fought against Hero's "Kings of Wresting" teammates in Claudio Castagnoli, Gran Akuma, and Icarus. With his partner Jigsaw attempting to shave the head of Icarus, Storm can set the KOW a tremendous setback by defeating Hero, who is on a tremendous winning streak- having beat Brandon Thomaselli on June 25th, reigning with Claudio as Campeones de Parejas, and becoming new CZW World Champion. Storm's in tremendous shape and could very well knock off an overconfident Hero, in my opinion.

************************************

Re-Match!

"THE KING OF DIAMONDS" EDDIE KINGSTON Vs. 15-Time ICW/ICWA Tex-Arkana Television Champion "SWEET & SOUR" LARRY SWEENEY

June 24th - Eddie Kingstons comes out before the main event to tell the crowd how he & Sweeney grew up in wrestling together as great friends, and how Sweeney turned on him and tried to take out his eye.

June 25th - Sweeney is disqualified during a heated bout at the New Alhambra, retaining his title in the process. This settled nothing and only fueled Kingston's rage.

*************************************

Confusion Guaranteed!

"A TIME DISPLACED NOBLE KNIGHT" LANCE STEEL Vs. "A TIME DISPLACED NOBLE KNIGHT" LANCE STEEL

June 23rd: Lance Steel and...Lance Steel, one man, two time-displaced incarnations, finally EXPLODED during Night One of the Young Lion's Cup Tournament. With the armor off, the two traded blows, finally deciding CHIKARA was not big enough for the...one...of them? They, er, he was noticeably absent from Night 2 and Night 3, but will return on July 22nd for a match that will finally see the epic showdown...and confuse many.

**************************************

Young Lion's Cup Defense!

Fresh off a spectacular tournament, and an amazing final against Cheech, YOUNG LION'S CUP CHAMPION "THE ANARCHIST" ARIK CANNON will defend his championship!

COMBAT ZONE WRESTLING presents Ultraviolent Tournament of Death V - Saturday, July 29, 2006 at LOCATION TO BE ANNOUNCED July 19th - in Smyrna, DE

********************************

First Round Match

"THE ULTRAVIOLENT ICON" Zandig Vs. DJ HYDE Vs. DANNY HAVOC

Havoc has won over the fans with recent performances against JC Bailey and Hyde, and a great bout with Arik Cannon in CHIKARA. Zandig's troubles with BLKOUT and the Canadian group who recently cut off his hair may have him unfocused? Could we see an upset? DJ Hyde thinks so, and he's been steamrolling everyone in his way as of late to prove his point. HYDE Vs. HAVOC will finally come to a head, and one of them may not make it out alive! It's the return of the Ultraviolent Icon to TOD...and the continuation of a rivalry that has literally torn the CZW Arena apart!

********************************

Also Participating:

THE NECRO BUTCHER

BRAIN DAMAGE

"THE FUTURE OF HARDCORE" NICK GAGE

J.C. BAILEY

"THE ONE MAN ARMY" LOBO

"MR. INSANITY" TOBY KLEIN

"THE FUTURE OF THE FUTURE OF SAMBO STYLE" ANDY SUMNER

BRANDON PROPHET

Apparantly, Cannon's defending against Jon Moxley.

I love me some Moxley... damn local access channel putting Christian music videos instead of my HWA. :(

See, I don't think Moxley really fits in with CHIKARA. He seems like a decent wrestler, but I don't think it's the right environment and seems a little...I dunno, out of place somehow.

CHIKARA's really been stepping it up since TWGP...well, even before then, but especially since TWGP. Nice looking card, storylines running through the card rather than just with the KoW and the anti-KoW. The only thing that's missing is Los Ice Creams.
