Richard 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2006 So I've discovered that pressing this combo causes my screen to flip sideways. However, other people I've talked to said it doesn't happen to them. Has anyone here noticed this at all? I know my pc is a '04 Dell desktop running XP, but I couldn't get any more detailed. I'm not asking anyone to try it out, I just want to know if they know anything.

Guest Paulster Report post Posted July 18, 2006 It works on my machine, but I have a monitor that can physically be rotated. That's probably the difference between all the tests here.
dubq 0 Report post Posted July 18, 2006 This should also work on Windows 2000 (if you're using that for whatever reason).

The Amazing Rando 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2006 It works on mine. Pressing it with up or down causes it to go to upside down or back to normal. That's creepy, and is what i should do now in computer labs
dubq 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2006 I have Win2K at work, and my screen doesn't do that. Ditto, but it works on mine. I think it depends whether or not your administrator has enabled the ability to do so on your machine. A few of the people here can't do it, but I can since I have "power user" rights. o.O

That's creepy, and is what i should do now in computer labs My favourite used to be taking a screenshot of the desktop, hiding and locking the actual taskbar and then setting the screenshot as the wallpaper. People get so frustrated, so easily, with computers.

The admins have disabled just about everything; we can't do shit without a call to the helpdesk.
AntiLeaf33 0 Report post Posted July 20, 2006 We can do to the computers at work as well. They are all Dell's w/ Windows 2000.....it's always a good excuse not to do work. "Hey, why aren't you working" "My screen is all fucked up" "What do you mean?" *shows them a sideways screen "What the fuck?!?!?!?" *supervisor walks away puzzled and comes back 30 minutes later tell us the miracle cure on how to fix it. dubq 0 Report post Posted July 20, 2006 I actually did this once to my boss' computer by accident. She wanted a key macro set up to lock her station without having to CTRL+ALT+DEL and then clock Lock. So I set it up as CTRL+ALT+RIGHT ARROW. Needless to say, the original macro took prescedence and flipped her screen. It was pretty funny to see the reaction.
