therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2006 That "clipping" penalty on PSU was fucking disgusting, Bob Knight may have had a point when he once said that referees could be the most involved in gambling.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2006 Maybe Willingham is turning Washington around. Consider that, Dama. This Vanderbilt/Alabama game is a great surprise on my local FSN channel.
Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted September 9, 2006 PSU has to turn this game around. It's weird how they're being shut out. Hunt is running well. Passing game is connecting for the most part. They hit midfield, and the end ensues. With some help from the officials.
snuffbox 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2006 The Badgers might just have a chance in the Big10 after all.
Bored 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2006 Incidentally, you guys might have to deal with some strange behavior and excessive commentary from me today. Now that I live in northern Virginia, I'm missing a UVA home game for the first time in 5 years. Even though it's just Wyoming, it's still a big gaping hole. I wasn't planning on going to any games until Maryland in October, but I may have to go down for Western Michigan next week, just to get my fix. Judging by last week's performance against Pitt and the first three quarters against Wyoming, you are probably better off not seeing a UVA game all year. That Drew Stanton as a sleeper Heisman candidate is done as after struggling against Idaho last week (who's getting pummeled by Wazzu at the moment, so much for my "maybe they'll be a factor in the WAC this year" comment) the Spartans are now struggling against Eastern Michigan, up just 24-20 in the 3rd. Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2006 Notre Dame scores again. This is turning into a slaughter--I was expecting something more along the lines of a 10-point win. Great slow-man scramble up the middle by Morelli on that last play, though. Syracuse is a miserable, miserable team. With Drew Tate out, Iowa's backup QB has thrown 4 interceptions...and Iowa's still up 10-7 entering the 4th quarter.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2006 Well it took OU a half to figure it out but they finally figured it out.
Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted September 9, 2006 I love Charlie Weis. The guy has balls. Fake punt. Going for it on 4th and goal. Nice to see a coach who actually has confidence.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2006 Now maybe OU can figure it out for a whole game against Oregon. The problem with Peterson winning the Heisman appears to be getting yards. He can't get any because there's always 8-9 guys on the line!
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2006 The problem with Peterson winning the Heisman appears to be getting yards. He can't get any because there's always 8-9 guys on the line! Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2006 BC/Clemson game has been very good. Both will be contenders for the Atlantic Division title if they maintain this level of play, but I still think FSU has the edge. NC State, after losing to Akron at home, is certifiably chump change. I can rest easy tonight, not because UVA beat Wyoming 13-12 in OT on a missed extra point, but because shitty quarterback Christian Olsen's time is done after backup Kevin McCabe gets it done. What a ridiculous, ridiculous game. At least we didn't get Akron'd.
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2006 Wow, Syracuse tied it. If Iowa loses this game, they don't deserve to be ranked in the top 15 for the rest of this season. This could be SU's only victory all year.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2006 Well OU finally put the blow out on Washington. I wonder if they'll move up in the rankings or if the bad first half will hurt them again?
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2006 Well OU finally put the blow out on Washington. I wonder if they'll move up in the rankings or if the bad first half will hurt them again? They'll probably move ahead of Iowa, at least.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2006 Well UW is about to get a garbage time TD and people that didn't watch the game are going to go "Well OU only won by 17!"
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2006 A 17-point win over a passable BCS-conference team is fine. A lot better than a win in OT over the worst major team in the country. If Iowa can even get that.
Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted September 9, 2006 Buffalo leads 27-20 at Bowling Green. If this holds, it's one of the biggest upsets of the year.

Bored 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2006 There's already been one upset in the MAC today, Ohio goes on the road and beats conference favorite Northern Illinois 35-23.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2006 A 17-point win over a passable BCS-conference team is fine. A lot better than a win in OT over the worst major team in the country. If Iowa can even get that. 2OTs at that. Well it would've been 24 but it was a garbage time TD from Washington. The OU defense was like "These guys are still playing?" and Washington scored quickly. Peterson did a nice job padding his Heisman resume though.
Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted September 9, 2006 When was the last time Buffalo was 2-0? Never in their short 1-A days. They've only won 2 games in season once. Unfortunately, UB has a very tough schedule after this game. Games at BC, Wisconsin and Auburn.
Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2006 Back in their Division III days they started 2-0 in 1979, 1980, 1981, and 1983.
Bored 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2006 The "This will be a blowout eventually but still an interesting score at the moment": Troy 3, Florida State 0; 4:38 2nd And Syracuse shows why they are Syracuse. Bored 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2006 Why aren't they switching to Clemson/BC? And they don't even show the winning touchdown. What a joke.
Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted September 9, 2006 Geez, how does Iowa get so close with shitty Syracuse. Meep. So, they'll be undefeated for the OSU game, and get stomped. Yay.
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2006 I thought they weren't allowed to switch games to show extra coverage at the end. It's over, anyway. BC beat Clemson 34-33 in an amazing 2OT game. Clemson had an extra point blocked in the second OT, which turned out to be the difference.
Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2006 I'm a huge convert to ESPN Overdrive on ESPNEWS. Lots of bonus coverage all day, good stuff. BC/Clemson was game of the day so far, great all the way through.
