Comments which don't warrant a thread

Wait just a goddamn minute... The Tolands debuted on Smackdown a few weeks back.  Then the following week, Palmer Canon mentioned them in his NTI speech with Teddy Long by that same name.  Then last week on Velocity, they were "unknown superstars".... and now they're James and Chad Dick?  What the hell.

You mean he mentioned the tolands by name? Yikes -- plot hole!

The one thing I like about Shane is that he doesn't want to hog TV time, I just wish he would have done that 2 years ago when he had that shitastic feud with Kane.

Yeah, that feud Shane had with Kane apparently was a precursor to WWE fucking up Kane's unmasked character in later feuds/storylines (Matt Hardy, Snitsky, the Lita/Edge feud which involved Kane crying over Lita "divorcing" him) much like they did with his masked character earlier in his career.

I'm not a big Kane fan, but I read that Kane's unmasked character in 2003 (before Shane did the damage to it in their feud) gave Raw some decent ratings, and the Shane feud was just another example of WWE ruining interesting characters.

Who were the final four in the battle royal that Kane won two weeks ago?

Carlito...? Whoever doesn't have a match then should get Kane's spot if he doesn't make it, of course he's not going to win, but at least Show will have a tag partner.

I forget that a lot of people need things made as simple and as basic as possible.

When Jim Ross was not coming back to Raw, Shane was going to be a part of things. When that changed, and Jim Ross was put back into the storyline, Shane got taken out.

Do you get it now, or should I talk more slowly?

Making that clear from the start is probably the best option.

Shane was never gonna be involved though, he doesn't see the WWE as a family business at this point and wants to make a name for himself doing something else. Between that and family he doesn't plan on being on TV anytime soon.

I just realized Dave Meltzer gave Carlito vs. Flair II (which RavishingRickRudo absolutely HATED to no end) ***3/4.

..wow.

On the bright side, he gave the Angles vs. Shawn IM match ***1/4, which is just within a credible rating range.

Also, go and watch a tape of Backlash in 2000, and be amazed at how much the voices of Kurt Angle and Trish Stratus have changed.

Also, he gave Kobashi/Joe *****. The man knows what ***** is, and then the man over-rates certain things.

I didn't even notice that Kobashi vs. Joe was available. Ordered my copy now, though.

I'm really tempted to forgo my DVD stance and just get the VHS. I haven't brought VHS since the old ecw days in 1998.

I resisted the urge with Joe Vs Punk II and it really ate at me. Im gonna try to resist again.

Give in to temptation. With a match like Joe vs. Kobashi, you really should get it as soon as you can.

Better go buy a VCR then.

If you find humour in someone mocking other people because of their nationality, race and suggesting they are either queer or a terrorist over and over again, bully for you. I personally don't. It's not a matter of lightening up, I just happen to find using xenophobic or racial stereotypes to be crass and ignorant rather than witty and funny.

I can only hope one day they run a show in Mexico and he talks about "slapping the tacos out of your mouths" and puts on a Speedy Gonzales accent, the ensuing riot would be fantastic.

Wow, I sure hope you never read Something Awful. I find humor in just about everything, including Muhammad Hassan and the WTC attack. Bully for me I guess.

Nope, have no desire to either. I've only ever checked out the Warrior lawyer emails and replies.

I also like to think I can find humour in nearly everything, however just because something is "humorous" in one person's eyes doesn't mean it's not completely tasteless and pointlessly offensive. Some people find jokes like "what do you call an Ethiopian family photo? a barcode" to be hysterical, I just find it too be ignorant and racist.

Not sure how you can view an atrocity like the WTC attacks as humorous. Generally when thousands of innocent people die or are forced to commit suicide by jumping out windows to avoid the only slightly worse fates of being buried under rubble or burning to death I consider it a tragedy rather than a barrel of laughs. The fact a couple of my relatives died in the incident doesn't make it particularly funny to me either.

I guess you just march to your own drummer.

When he said "Hassan and the WTC attack" i thought he meant that thing that was in someone's sig about Hassan acting like a plane and flying into the a model of the towers made from popsicle sticks.

That would be in horribly bad taste, but i'd probably still chuckle because I don't take shit like that seriously.

I've heard WTC "humour" like "what was the last thing to go through the top floor WTC employee's mind? His shoes!" but again, I think it's just pointlessly offensive. I doubt the widows, children and relatives of those that died find any humour in the incident either. However I guess since some aren't affected by it they figure "who cares? not my problem" and don't care for certain boundaries of good taste.

back on topic, what's with Jilian Hall's Vaderesque mask? I understand that piece of crap on her cheek would fall during a match, but I can't see how or why a "mole" would be sensitive and warrant protection. It doesn't make sense for her to wear it but they've gave her it anyway. It could be said it doesn't make sense to give her such a shitty gimmick in the first place, and you'd be right, but if they pull stupid shit and somehow find a way for it to make it even shittier, someone really should be getting their ass kicked.

I just watched the Kid Kash/Paul London match on Velocity. The ending to that match is fucking insane.

London goes for a Top Rope Hurricanrana, but Kash flips him backwards and London lands right on his face. Then Kash Finishes him with a Twisting moonsault.

Is it really that good a match? I haven't seen it yet but I read on some sites that it was basically a glorified chop-fest. I've seen great stuff from those men before and it's obvious most would expect a terrific match, but seems that some would like to tag it with that rating just 'cause it's Kobashi/Joe.

So im flipping around tv and I go past VH1's newest installment of I love the 80's and Jericho is now refered to as a "Actor/Musician".... Correct me if Im wrong but didnt they used to have"Pro Wrestler" under his name? I mean, yeah It's only natural and better for his cred to drop that description.

Im rambling.

I wouldn't blame him for not wanting to come back. Going out for one last blast in one of SummerSlam's main events when he had the opportunity, not bad at all.

Edit: With Christian now gone,

I hope Booker T or somebody big named / decent wrestler takes his place for JBL's SD team

heh...they're trying really hard to edit out as many shots of Rey Mysterio's face as possible...so far, I forgot how damn fine this show was...well except for that Shawn Stasiak/Bam Bam Bigelow match...god, remember when Booker T was motivated? A thing of beauty...
