Guest Princess Leena Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 We're comin' and we're shittay. A good week of games.
naiwf Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 93 yd kick return to the 5 to start the game for Wake. In typical scrub fashion they fumble the ball at the 2 two plays later.
Guest Princess Leena Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 Arkansas leads Auburn 17-7. Wake leads Clemson 14-3, and is outplaying them badly.
Edwin MacPhisto Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 Wake's up 17-3, and that's despite making several mistakes of their own. Clemson's really fortunate to be down only two scores at this point. Now we'll get to see if they're good enough to turn it on late, or if this is really just another heartbreaking Tommy Bowden team. Edit: Turnover #4 for Clemson, an INT off a tipped ball. Ouch.
Edwin MacPhisto Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 But the wheels are definitely coming off now. It should be 20-3, but the FG holder fumbled the snap and Clemson ran it back for a touchdown. And Clemson just recovered a fumble in Wake territory. Poor little Deacons.
Guest Princess Leena Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 A&M went for a 4th and 23 with 5 minutes left at their own 30. There's your dumbest coaching decision of the year.
iggymcfly Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 What the hell happened to Auburn? I know Arkansas's not this good.
Fökai Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 No, Auburn just looks like ass today. All Arkansas had to do was show up.
naiwf Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 Wake Forest snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. On the bright side, the overrated Tigers won't have to worry about getting screwed out of the BCS title game. Hopefully, Michigan can move up with a win today.
Guest Princess Leena Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 A&M finally doesn't fuck up a drive, and likely wins this suckfest. Yay.
naiwf Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 Minnesota got hosed on that PI call which ultimately cost them the game.
teke184 Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 Shit... 11 more seconds and LSU's streak of holding their opponents scoreless in the 1st quarter would be intact. As of now, it's an impressive 80-7 across the 1st quarter all year. As for this game, it's 7-7 LSU-Florida with seconds to go in the 1st. Both TD drives have been the result of fumble recoveries (a rushing fumble by Florida and a punt fumble by LSU)
teke184 Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 Chris Leak goes deep... and is picked off by Chevis Jackson of LSU. Man, I'm loving this.
teke184 Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 Wow... Jamarcus Russel of all people scrambles for a 15 yard game. For those who don't know about him, he's LSU's 6-4 QB and isn't known for his footspeed.
Guest Princess Leena Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 I don't think you're liking the recent happenings. Ugh.
Guest Princess Leena Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 Wow, bullshit "roughing" the passer call.
Urban Warfare Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 Horrible call on LSU, I do NOT want to see Florida win by a touchdown because of a call like that. But you have to admit, that Tebow play was very impressive.
J.B. Buzzkill Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 Muffed return, safety, Gators up 16-7. Ah, yes.
Guest Princess Leena Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 LSU is defining self-destruction here. Oi. That Tebow play was cool, though.
Guest Princess Leena Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 K, changing to Texas now. LSU just giving more fuel to the "SEC is overrated" argument.
J.B. Buzzkill Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 Holy shit this is getting ugly. And I love every minute.
Hawk 34 Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 It's looking more and more like my preseason pick of Florida representing the SEC in the national title game will be reality.
teke184 Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 The crappy Special Teams play shouldn't surprise me... LSU's return teams have been subpar for most of the year, especially the returners. That blocked punt just now really upset me, though, as they're good enough on the line NOT to be giving up blocked punts.
Vern Gagne Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 No, Auburn just looks like ass today. All Arkansas had to do was show up. Tuberville's stupid comment that Auburn should be in the National Championship game if they finish undefeated. Way to have the focus on this week's opponent.
naiwf Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 Auburn and LSU dying slow deaths would only be topped if Texas goes down hard today too just because they're ridiculously overranked.
cabbageboy Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 I dunno about Florida yet. They still have Auburn and Georgia and I think one of those two will muster up an effort to take them out. Auburn was horrid today but losing two in a row at home? U of L was bleh last night but it was just Middle TN. Hopefully we'll get Brohm back fairly soon.
nogoodnick Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 Well I'm happy with everything thats going down today. Florida wins, Oklahoma loses, Auburn loses. Washington is definitely for real which is cool because I'm going to the Oregon UW game and it looks like its going to be a good one. This day will be perfect if Oregon wins tonight.
nogoodnick Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 The Pac 10 may have some of the worst officials ever. Washington kinda got screwed there it looks like.
Hogan Made Wrestling Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 I may be sick when the rankings come out and USC, after three crappy weeks in a row, is up to #2 ahead of Michigan, Florida, and WVU. I think all of those teams would wax USC if they played right now.
