Eclipse 0 Report post Posted October 7, 2006 just bought this camera today because the last camera I had (which was PERFECTLY fine), stopped working. I had installed some stripped down version of XP Pro, called XP Lite. The other cam had stopped working after I installed it, but I thought maybe the cam was broken since the wire was sort of twisted and torn. So, I bought this one today, hoping maybe that cam was broken, but it's doing the EXACT same thing the other did! I connected it, and it said that "the USB Device has malfunctioned".... What could be the problem? I am puzzled. I even tried connecting it to all 4 other USB ports on my PC, and it says the same for all of them. It just shows up as an Unknown Device.
