Guest Smues Report post Posted October 20, 2006 Someone needs to take the Mets' soundboard guy and lock him in a closet. Agreed
Guest Felonies! Report post Posted October 20, 2006 If THE HEART AND SOUL hits a pennant-winning homer, we'll never hear the end of it.
Guest Felonies! Report post Posted October 20, 2006 If THE HEART AND SOUL hits a pennant-winning homer, we'll never hear the end of it. But this might be just as bad.
naiwf 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2006 Come on Beltran, just one more big hit against the Cards.

Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2006 Needed to swing at the first pitch. The curve is unhittable.
Guest Felonies! Report post Posted October 20, 2006 Question: why do they say "the ____ are going to the World Series" instead of "the ____ win the pennant"? They should do the latter. Winning your league is still an achievement, not just a step on the ladder. Hey, there we go. Too bad it's the dreaded Road Clincher. Uhhhh, yeahhhhh, woooo, yeaah! EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2006 Honestly, I'd be stunned if the Cards win this series. I'm stunned.
Bored 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2006 I feel bad for the Mets. A team that dominates it's league like they did deserves to represent them in the World Series.
snuffbox 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2006 Saint fucking Louis.
naiwf 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2006 That was just about the most painful way to go down as is possible. Yay. It's looking less and less likely that I'll ever see any team I like win another championship in my lifetime.
Guest Felonies! Report post Posted October 20, 2006 I hate Cardinal Magic sometimes. Oh well, at least my uncle is happy.

naiwf 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2006 When is Game 4 of the WS? I want to make sure I get to see Detroit clinch without having to watch any of the other games.
Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2006 Can't say the World Series will be a thriller this year. Third year in a row..
Guest Smues Report post Posted October 20, 2006 When is Game 4 of the WS? I want to make sure I get to see Detroit clinch without having to watch any of the other games. If the schedule is like it's been the last few years it'll be Wednesday.
Bored 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2006 Oh and btw...YADIER MOLINA!? Good lord the guy is one of the worst hitters in baseball and he's suddenly Clutchy McClutchy in the postseason.
NYU 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2006 I can't believe Beltran struck out looking. Him and Floyd. For fuck's sake, you're in the ninth inning with the potential to tie the game or possibly win it. Take the bat off your shoulders. Beltran's final pitch was particularly right down the middle, so there's no excuse. The team played well this season. They played well against the Dodgers. They were terrible against the Cards. And prediction: Tigers in 5.
EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2006 Considering the Cards just upset the best team in the National League, it's pretty stupid to assume they can't win a single game over the Tigers.
vivalaultra 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2006 I guess Beltran didn't have his...hishishishishis boogie shoes on. I'm shocked that the Cards took the series. Pity. The Mets were easily the best team in the NL this year and the only team that stood a remote chance of taking 1 out of 5 against the Tigers.

2GOLD 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2006 I think St. Louis might be able to give the Tigers some competition. Hell, I wouldn't be shocked if they won. They better not, but I wouldn't be stunned at all.
