Guest Connzilla Report post Posted October 11, 2006 I thouight it was time that Esham got a thread because he never gets his due, He released A-1 Yola with a DVD with a vidoe for every track on the CD and then 50 did the same thing 5months later and everyone says 50 is the first one to do it. If it wasn't for Sham there would be no Kid Rock, Em, ICP, D12, Big Hurk, DOC Holllywood Hustle, Boss, Royce Da 59, TNT, Mastermind, Trik Trik no one rapping from Detroit would be in the game right now if it wasn't for him, hell the Daytona Family wouldn't be around right now either, E started it all in Mighgian. You are correct, if it weren't for E then many of the names around now would not be making music. I always love when people "steal" from others and try to pass it off that they were the "first" and when brought up never give props to the real originators. Because no one was a fan of rap without Esham. He was influential and all, but comeon. Em, Royce and D-12 at least still would have made it out. Carnival 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2006 Esham is an acquired taste Lushus. That Esham is in between horror and gangsta, I'd expect you to like his more gangsta stuff. A lot less weird, more mainstream late 90's sound. Tounges was kinda experimental for him, weird beats and songs, kinda like Mail Dominance. I really don't know why Esham couldn't blow up. Carnival 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2006 Bolivia Sunshine Not really gangsta tracks, but more of a sound you might like. The first one is really catchy and is kinda like a radio hit. The second one is slower but sounds like old school. I think it was made in 98? All of Esham's gangsta stuff sounds weird, he has an odd style and weird beats. It's mostly because the gangster stuff comes later in his career. He started in the early 90's so just maybe you might dig his old shit, it's not like it's 100% devil worship. Only about 75%. There are a couple more Esham tracks in my 2003 mix in my blog, Boom has gangster verses from Esham and Violent J but a wack chorus and weird beat.
