Guest Connzilla Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 I thouight it was time that Esham got a thread because he never gets his due, He released A-1 Yola with a DVD with a vidoe for every track on the CD and then 50 did the same thing 5months later and everyone says 50 is the first one to do it. If it wasn't for Sham there would be no Kid Rock, Em, ICP, D12, Big Hurk, DOC Holllywood Hustle, Boss, Royce Da 59, TNT, Mastermind, Trik Trik no one rapping from Detroit would be in the game right now if it wasn't for him, hell the Daytona Family wouldn't be around right now either, E started it all in Mighgian.
Carnival Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 I like Connzilla. Esham is a Horrorcore God. RESPECT!
Carnival Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 from another thread, but we should keep all this esham talk that is sure to explode into something the Czech highjacks in here Esham-Boomin Words From Hell hard to believe a 16 year old wrote and recorded this album. Plus it is the first chapter of the acid rap saga. I've actually heard Esham quoted as saying he was 15 when wrote it. Simply amazing.
Guest Connzilla Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 I wonder which mainstream rapper is going to bite the $100 box set from sham ............................................................Snoop mybe but I like Snoop so.............................................................................. ......................I reallly don't know.
Carnival Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 I wish I could have gotten my hands on one of them sets, but I don't even think he's shipped them yet and they were advertised to ship on 6/6/06. Just like acidrap.com store never opened up. nothing but slacking.
cd213 Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 E gets my respect. I am a HUGE juggalo and know how influential he is to the whole scene. You are correct, if it weren't for E then many of the names around now would not be making music. I always love when people "steal" from others and try to pass it off that they were the "first" and when brought up never give props to the real originators.
Guest Connzilla Posted October 14, 2006 Report Posted October 14, 2006 Anyone think Esham ever going to go to maainstream like Three 6 did? I don't.
Ripper Posted October 15, 2006 Report Posted October 15, 2006 If it wasn't for Sham there would be no Kid Rock, Em, ICP, D12, Big Hurk, DOC Holllywood Hustle, Boss, Royce Da 59, TNT, Mastermind, Trik Trik no one rapping from Detroit would be in the game right now if it wasn't for him, hell the Daytona Family wouldn't be around right now either, E started it all in Mighgian. Because no one was a fan of rap without Esham. He was influential and all, but comeon. Em, Royce and D-12 at least still would have made it out. They made their names on the underground outside of detroit (well..Em and Royce. Not so much D-12).
cd213 Posted October 16, 2006 Report Posted October 16, 2006 Anyone think Esham ever going to go to maainstream like Three 6 did? I don't. Hell no. Even if it meant them getting an Oscar, he wouldn't do it.
Carnival Posted October 17, 2006 Report Posted October 17, 2006 Anyone think Esham ever going to go to maainstream like Three 6 did? I don't. Hell no. Even if it meant them getting an Oscar, he wouldn't do it. It's not that he wouldn't do it, it's that he can't do it. Nobody will sign him for whatever reason. He would go mainstream in a heart beat, don't kid yourself.
Guest Connzilla Posted October 20, 2006 Report Posted October 20, 2006 I was listening to the Bombass Podcast X and was wondering if the song The Flatline is a unreleased track and if not what cd is it on?
Guest Connzilla Posted October 22, 2006 Report Posted October 22, 2006 Even though I have only heard Two songs of tounges I really want to buy it.

Guest Connzilla Posted October 24, 2006 Report Posted October 24, 2006 I've heard four tracks off Tounges: Walkin On Da Flatline, Everyone, Mr. Negativity, & Gloczup. I have liked all 4, how is the rest of the album?
Carnival Posted October 24, 2006 Report Posted October 24, 2006 not too great. But it's cool if your just looking for some new Esham.

Black Lushus Posted October 24, 2006 Report Posted October 24, 2006 Here'e my 2 favorite songs off Tounges, maybe you've heard them. Everyone Glocz Up can't say I'm impressed...sorry E LOLZ @ superbowen.com
Guest Princess Leena Posted October 25, 2006 Report Posted October 25, 2006 Let's try to be more accepting of Ethan, Danny.
CheesalaIsGood Posted October 25, 2006 Report Posted October 25, 2006 I've never been able to get into Esham. I understand why so many of the Detroit rappers call him an influence, but I think there is a very good reason he isn't successful. Tech9ine on the other hand.... awesome.
Carnival Posted October 25, 2006 Report Posted October 25, 2006 Esham is an acquired taste Lushus. That Esham is in between horror and gangsta, I'd expect you to like his more gangsta stuff. A lot less weird, more mainstream late 90's sound. Tounges was kinda experimental for him, weird beats and songs, kinda like Mail Dominance. I really don't know why Esham couldn't blow up. It's not like he's lacking in skills, he just never got the chance. Tech N9ne, I agree, is better than Esham.
Black Lushus Posted October 25, 2006 Report Posted October 25, 2006 I'll try some of his gangsta rap stuff, if you have it.
Carnival Posted October 25, 2006 Report Posted October 25, 2006 Bolivia Sunshine Not really gangsta tracks, but more of a sound you might like. The first one is really catchy and is kinda like a radio hit. The second one is slower but sounds like old school. I think it was made in 98? All of Esham's gangsta stuff sounds weird, he has an odd style and weird beats. It's mostly because the gangster stuff comes later in his career. He started in the early 90's so just maybe you might dig his old shit, it's not like it's 100% devil worship. Only about 75%. There are a couple more Esham tracks in my 2003 mix in my blog, Boom has gangster verses from Esham and Violent J but a wack chorus and weird beat. No War is self-explanatory but his verses are pretty good in it.
Guest Princess Leena Posted October 25, 2006 Report Posted October 25, 2006 Ethan, what genre would that wack chorus be classified into?
