Dobbs 3K 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2006 You have to wonder how many more high profile names TNA can really afford at this point. That said, I'd love to see Rey in TNA. I think he's done about all he can in WWE. I mean, how many people ever thought he'd be a World title holder? And he's done that already. He's getting older too...only 32 or so, but still... I'm sure the slower road schedule has got to be appealing.
reign 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2006 I also find it hilarious that people are on Rey's case about money or even the Eddie thing...God Bless Eddie but let's not forget the Dominic angle or the beating up a woman angle that Eddie was a part of among other things that he's done as part of a wrestling angle...he may not have liked it but he did it because he has a family and he has seen what happens to wrestlers who stay in the biz too long and the demolishment of their bodies...Rey , Benoit, Chavo and Vickie are getting paid to do this...I haven't seen any of the bank statements so maybe they're not ready to up and go to TNA or travel outside of the US to make less money... And I'm pretty sure TNA will run out of money signing all these "stars" long before they see any return on their investment...
Dobbs 3K 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2006 Well, to be fair, most of TNA's signings lately have been seemingly good decisions. So far, Sting and Angle have worked out well. As far as TNA making a return on their investment, that's all going to depend on how much they expand their business plan in 2007. Also, the prospect of Misterio in the six sided ring against the likes of Styles, Daniels, Samoa Joe, etc. is pretty appealing.
EricMM 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2006 I think they need to work on their ads, a LOT. Their production is so good, I just wonder why they don't showcase it.
Dobbs 3K 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2006 They need to make people aware that they exist, too. If that story about Angle having to explain to people what TNA is, is in fact true, that is pretty much unacceptable at this point.
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2006 How have Angle and Sting worked out well? It's not like they've had a big increase in ratings. And damn that Rey Mysterio for wanting to make money. He should cater to the fans of the internet and join a poorly booked second rate fed.
The Decemberists 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2006 Well they were both just involved with their most bought PPV of their 4 year existance.
