I don't know where to post this. Is it News? Is it General Wrestling? General Chat? TV/Movies? Move it as you see fit, Modz.

Anyway, interesting career move...

Celebrities sworn in as Muncie reserve officers

Associated Press

MUNCIE, Ind. - Former "CHiPs" star Erik Estrada and other celebrities were sworn in as reserve officers of the city police department, allowing them to carry badges and guns, as part of a reality television series.

About 200 people including residents, police officers and city employees packed into a Muncie City Hall auditorium for the Tuesday ceremony to swear in Estrada, La Toya Jackson, Jack Osbourne, Wee Man and Trish Stratus.

A producer coaxed the crowd into cheering loudly for the camera, and parts of the ceremony had to be repeated several times for the TV cameras.

"Roll call is at 6 o'clock," Muncie Police Chief Joe Winkle told the celebrities. "Do not be late."

Winkle had to say the line three times since the first was interrupted by audience applause, and the second take was too quiet.

"Welcome to TV," said Julie Link of Forman Productions. "Sometimes, we have to retake."

The CBS show, "Armed and Famous" being filmed in the east-central Indiana city follows the celebrities as they enforce the laws as reserve officers with the city's police department.

Estrada joked with the crowd that people may not recognize him as an officer because he would not be wearing his toupee. He pulled up the back inch of his hairpiece and wiggled it, drawing laughter from the crowd.

Estrada carried a gun but rarely used it to stop bad guys in his 1970s TV police drama "CHiPs."

He also appeared in VH1's "Surreal Life" in 2004. Osbourne, 21, son of rocker Ozzie Osbourne, was on the MTV's "The Osbournes." Wee Man, 33, a 4-foot-7 skateboarder, gained fame on the MTV show "Jackass."

Jackson, 50, a singer and sister of Michael and Janet Jackson, is a native of Gary, and Stratus is a former WWE professional wrestler.

Haha. Muncie's a fucking pisshole in the winter. Campus is covered in frat guys who are going to attempt to get arrested just to get on TV, and the hood won't give a fuck.

Friend of mine already met Jack Osbourne at the gas station in neighboring Montpelier.

No, he said it went like this.

"Hey, you're Jack Osbourne."

"Yes?"

"Haha. The fuck are you doing in Montpelier?"

something to the extent of "We're working on a new reality tv show in Muncie."

"Bet you miss southern california right about now. haha."

*nods*

It just started getting cold as fuck this week.

Why would this be in anywhere but this thread? It is for a reality TV show.

Been a pretty mild winter. I saw a limo in Markle heading towards Muncie the other day. Might've been one of those fuckers. There's no other explanation for there to be a limosine in MARKLE.

I caught bits and pieces of the debut. Trish looks like the most "normal" one of the whole bunch, though Jack Osbourne seemed like he really was into it as well. I understand Estrada being there with the CHiPS connection, but they couldn't have done better than LaToya fucking Jackson?

I also noticed that the cops they work with aren't exactly thrilled with this whole thing. It'll probably be gone by the end of the month.

Well when you consider the tolerance to pain you build up doing pro wrestling all that time, it's not surprising Trish was able to handle it better than everyone there.

Eh, LaToya was more of a theatric flop to the ground. Trish was in full porn star mode.

I saw the second ep in full, and though people claim this is one of the worst reality shows ever, believe me, there have been FAR worse. LaToya's cat phobia was absolutely ridiculous, but the rest of them seem to be somewhat normal and are starting to gain their partner's respect. It may be a spoiler, but I read that Jack Osbourne even got offered a full time job with the department after this, but he declined because he wants to join the LAPD.

Golly, Jack, maybe the LAPD might take your application more serously if you actually had some real, full-time job experience in law enforcement. Where ever could you get that?
