Guest Totally Crazy Report post Posted February 3, 2007 They basically have a new cruiserweight division here, and I mean the actual division of WCW where thet cruiserweights had credibility and could give a strong match. Guys like Samoa Joe made the X Division because he was/ is athletic as he is poweful, and was an actual example of the slogan, "It's not about weight limits, it's about no limits!!!". I think if there were to throw in some bigger guys like Robert Roode, Lance Hoyt and Ron 'the Truth' Killings they'd have a pretty good balance and be able to take it from there. I don't know about the rest of those guys, but Killings being in the X-D would certainly be better than wasting him away with these stupid vignettes or dancing with Hoyt. They have flirted with putting him in a few times, but never fully pulled the trigger. During his first run at world champ, he did a few matches with Jerry Lynn when Jerry was X champ. And IIRC, he was in an UX for the title a few years ago. Maybe at the first Destination X ppv or something.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted February 3, 2007 Roode and Hoyt belong in the tag division not the X division because their style does not translate well working with spotfest nor technical wrestlers. Roode and Hoyt are boring power wrestlers that are more suited to eating guitar shots or being victims to backstage roid rage fits from Kurt Angle then no-selling Sonjay Dutt, Alex Shelley, Austin Starr, Sharkboy comedy spots. Ron Killings as the Black Superman can go and do whatever the fuck he wants he is Teflon he can shine in any division and be a credible champion at the main event, X division, or tag team divisions. Ron Killings has the happy feet that can work in the X Division and oversell transition spots with a twist in pointless opening 6 man tag matches or he can put on his working boots having the Match of the Night against main eventers like Samoa Joe or Raven. I've said it before and I'm going to say it again the Samoa Joe vs Ron Killings match from Impact was the best damn non-PPV match of the year.
Guest Totally Crazy Report post Posted February 3, 2007 WOOOOO!!! Robert Roode I can understand, but I'm sticking by Lance Hoyt. I beleive he can make it in there with the smaller guys.I think ,ironically, they'd just have to carry him for a while.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted February 3, 2007 Hoyt, Tomko, Nash do not belong in the X Division. The whole David vs Goliath shit is outdated and does not really help either wrestler the styles clash makes the overall product look like either an over rated extended squash or burial punishment for some stupid political reason. Hoyt should follow the lead of Nash and Tomko by working as the bodyguard for someone and never have tv matches ever. Let Hoyt warm up the Orlando Studio freaks by squashing lowcard guys from Florida or baseball players on Spring Training wanting to be a wrestler. I would rather watch Simon Diamond, David Young, Elix Skipper get on tv than suffer through another Hoyt match. Hoyt would be better off working as one of the costume freaks with Seritonin than the goofy white boy without rhythm dancer deal he has going on now. Hell look at Maverick Matt Michael Shane and Johnny Devine they were boring nobodys working in tag matches but now with Seritonin they have a direction. Ok so if Shane Douglas is the Dean of Wrestling and Tomko is the Problem Solver does that make Hoyt the Common Denominator?
luke-o 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2007 I would rather watch Simon Diamond, David Young, Elix Skipper get on tv than suffer through another Hoyt match. Im still dissapointed they never went any further with the Diamonds In The Rough. I felt that had a lot of potential as a tag team, and it actually made me enjoy Skippers in ring work since his time with XXX.

I was very surprised that Skpper was even put with the Diamonds in the rough as they were promoted as TNA's job squad at first.
luke-o 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2007 All Skipper did while out of XXX was blow spots and not win matches. He was perfect for DiTR. And yes, they were the first Job Squad, but i still liked them.

Guest Totally Crazy Report post Posted February 8, 2007 Are you happy now that Kevin Nash successfully killed the division and made it into one big comedy act? I enjoy some of the humour but it would have been have alot better if more, or ANY wrestling was done to hype it up as well.

razazteca 0 Report post Posted February 8, 2007 Now that Jerry Lynn is back let us pray that he can once again carry the division back to the good ol glory days of the past. Here's to wishing that he can make Sabin into the next AJ Styles! Mr. JL you are our only hope!
