The end of Shake It Off has a spacey Floyd feel to it, a little.

This "singing this song for you" one is bouncy!

This rip from the stream that I found is pretty good for being 128 kb/s. The biggest problem with the album is how samey it seems to be. The tempo, key, and instrumentation rarely change from song to song. I don't believe there's any noise at all, few keyboards other than piano and organ (maybe some mellotron in "Side With The Seeds"), and it feels pretty formulaic. I think Nels Cline solos on every song. No wonder I got so excited when "Walkin'" came up. I still like it a lot, more than A Ghost Is Born, but it can't top the others.

I think their covering Randy Newman live over the last few years is working its way into the music. That's not a bad thing. And this album is definitely different from any of their other albums, but that's how Wilco goes. A.M. and Being There weren't anything like Summerteeth, which wasn't anything like Yankee Hotel Foxtrot and A Ghost is Born. I wasn't expecting Sky Blue Sky to rank among their very best, but I at least wanted something good (and better than AGiB); based 1.5 listens, I think that's what I got.

I'm really enjoy this so far. I don't think that it will go down as a classic album like others of their's have, but it is definitely a good listen. I like how they simplified things a bit on here.

"Walkin'" will on the soundtrack to some quirky dramedy independent film before the year is out.

Just listened again. Really like the guitar outro to Impossible Germany. Like Shake it Off a lot. Like the title track's feel and the rest I find to be enjoyable to listen to. I think that this is a very accessible album, maybe their most to date.

On a side note, should I go see Son Volt? They're playing near me. I haven't heard much of them lately though.
