How much did Jim Carey get for 23? It doesn't seem that it's going to make enough to cover his salary and be profitable.

The budget was only 30 million, so I assume Carrey took a large paycut

Has anyone actually seen The Number 23, or heard anything about it?

The movie is mostly Jim Carrey reads a book, then you get some twisted goofy mystery that really isn't that interesting. Carrey does well but the script just isn't there. It's almost like two movies mixed into one movie and one of the movies just plain sucks.

Inoffensive enough for a rental or a cheapy theater look but not worth a full ticket price.

I liked 23. It really doesn't get all thrillery until the last act, so up till then it's pretty lighthearted, but if you like the twist and don't think about it too much, it's a fine way to waste 2 hours. If you don't like the twist, you'll probably hate it, since the movie pretty much puts its entire weight on it. Also, the top star is Virginia Madsens rack.

I enjoyed it. I thought it was interesting and I actually didn't see the ending coming at all. I knew very little about the movie going into it. I actually thought

Walter was becoming paranoid and delusional due to rabies.

Well I saw Ghost Ride and Pan's Labrynth last week.

Ghost Ride I was dragged to by a friend, and it was actually really awful, and fun. All do to Nicholas Cage

Pan's Labyrintrh was just the shit. I can't believe it was still playing.

And Black Snake Moan looks like shit. Coming from somone who loves Ricci, Samuel L, and thought Hustle and Flow was the shit/ It looks so bad.

I think Black Snake Moan and Zodiac, and to a lesser extent The Number 23 split up there audience. I'm either going to go see one of the first two when I'm off on Friday, but I doubt I'll see the other one while it's in theaters.

When I saw a commercial for Hog Wild I was kind of interest if only for the strang trio of Tim Allen, Martin Larwence and Willam Macy. I'll probably see 23 when it comes to the dollar movies, I would see Hog Wild for a buck too if I really had nothing better to do.

Ghost Rider is pretty cool when he's in Rider form and just the overall Nick Cage overacting. But the villians and the parts with the "love" story are a joke. Hell, the contract signing scene is laughable since he signs nothing.

I'll go see a sequel though since the Rider effects are pretty bad ass.
