Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2007 It seems like Glen Grunwald is that guy for the Knicks. Isiah takes care of the talent, and Grunwald will take care of the checkbook, and I guess make better trades (although I liked the Curry, Crawford, Q/Nate, Rose/Lee, Marbury, and Rose/Balkman trades he's made). Guest Report post Posted April 4, 2007 Outside of injuries (and I know there have been a lot) why do people keep calling Sean May a bust? Check out his game logs for when he did play. 12 and 7 aren't exactly bust numbers. Outside of David Lee and Monta Ellis, who drafted after him has done anything to say "Charlotte really should have taken _________ with that pick." The guy is always hurt though. Kurt Angle Mark 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2007 Nice win for the Clippers 1 1/2 back of Lakers but only 1 1/2 up on Golden State
Just John 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2007 Man, the Lakers not named Kobe better get their shit together. Their playoff spot is not as safe as they might think.
Guest Report post Posted April 5, 2007 With the teams we are playing, if we don't get that 6th spot, I don't want to get in at all. Only one of those games is completely not within the realm of being winnable, and it's the one at Phoenix. Any home game could be won, so it doesn't get that mention. I don't want to see this team get in as the 7th or 8th seed. I want to have a chance, albeit slim. The Spurs haven't beaten us all year, we'd give them a go. This is so frustrating, I fucking hate this. I would never quit on the Lakers, but this GM needs to get his shit together in the offseason.
Ripper 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2007 Gilbert Arenas is done for the year, including the playoffs. So....looks like the Knicks might make the playoffs.

Just John 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2007 Gilbert Arenas is done for the year, including the playoffs. So....looks like the Knicks might make the playoffs. Not with the way they've been playing lately. I think it's more likely the Wiz drop a spot or two, then get swept quietly in the first round.
Ripper 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2007 Yeah, I know. I don't think anybody out of the playoffs can catch them, even if they lose all the rest of their games.
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2007 That's sad. I'm no Wizards fan, but if I were, I'd be incredibly pissed to see a team that was the number 1 team in the Eastern Conference not too long ago fall so far.
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2007 Yes! The Bulls move up from 5 seed to 2 seed as the Heat beat the Cavs in Cleveland!
Guest Eagle Man Report post Posted April 6, 2007 They'll fall back to 5 when they boot a game to the insurmountable behemoth that is the New Jersey Nets.
Ripper 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2007 man. The suns got steve kerr a little nervous there, almost making his 2 hours of sucking spur dick seem pointless. Good game though. Happy the suns made a run at the end. They had a bad shooting night, missing ALOT of gimmies, but played some good defense so I can't be mad. Don't know what it would take to convince D'Antoni to play Banks on Parker to slow him down some, but hey. Its the regular season. Heres to hoping that the Spurs catch the Lakers in the first round and a possessed Kobe Bryant takes them out.
Just John 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2007 That Spurs/Suns game kind of reminded me of their playoff series a couple years back. It stays close, but the Spurs know how to close 'em out. Spurs did a good job controlling the pace and making the game ugly in the first half, and finally to put together a good scoring run in the 3rd. I still think they have the edge on the Suns if they meet in the playoffs. The Suns are going to have a figure out a way to actually get those last few points to pull ahead of San Antonio at the end. Ripper 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2007 I saw a completely different stragedy than the playoffs a few years back. Then, San Antonio didn't even try to slow the game down, they went up tempo with the Suns (as soon as phoenix hit a shot, it was out the net and gone) then slowed it down in crunch time, which was genius because that threw the suns off after they had been playing their game for 3 quarters. Last night, the suns came out not shooting well, and the spurs slowed it down. only they weren't shooting well either and couldn't make a bigger gap. This SHOULD have been a 30 point blowout had anyone been able to hit a shot. But what I did like was that Phoenix didn't double team duncan and stayed on San Antonio's 3 point shooters (except Finley who was pulling up on breaks and long rebounds) the same way that San Antonio does to the Suns. It made me look forward to a series between the two. While I still think that the Suns could have taken that series or at least pushed it to 7 if joe Johnson was playing, it was obvious that the Suns were trying to beat a better all around team that year. I don't think the same can be said now. So while there will be article after article about the dominant Spurs (again) this win is no more or less telling than the Suns winning by 16. I see two evenly matched teams. Should be a fun series. I don't think there is a clear cut better team between the Mavs/Suns/Spurs and a series containing any one of these three teams could go either way.
Just John 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2007 I think any Western Triangle series could go either way, since all the teams have more than enough talent to beat anyone. I just think each team matches up better against someone else, and thus, has a better shot at winning a certain series. The great thing about the West, is that's just the top of the bracket. The lower-ranked teams still have some favorable matchups as well. For example, I think Utah could really give Phoenix trouble, and Houston always plays San Antonio tough. If the Clippers keep improving like they have been, there won't be any easy playoff rounds in the West for anyone this year.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted April 7, 2007 No 70-win season for the Mavs. They lost their 13th game tonight, a thrilling 75-71 decision in Denver. Pacers move to within one game of 8th place and two games of 7th, winning in Charlotte behind Danny Granger's career-high 32 points on 11-14 shooting. Also, Toronto became the first East team to clinch a top-four seed, clinching their first-ever Atlantic division title.
Mr. S£im Citrus 0 Report post Posted April 7, 2007 Fucking Musselman can't even lose right; I've been waiting for weeks for him to play the kids, and now that he finally does, they fucking beat Utah?

Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2007 After Ruben Patterson hit a banker three against the Knicks with .9 left to give the Bucks a 3 point lead, Curry answers back with a three pointer of his own. Knicks win in OT 118-113. Curry had like 43 points and 13 boards, Balkman had 10-9 the last time I checked, Collins finished with like 19 points, 10 boards, 8 assists, and 5 steals, Robinson had 34 points, and Jeffries passed well and played some good defense. Good win for the young players.
