Character Shakeups?

Hey guys,

 

With new additions to the roster slim and none in the past while, and a slew of characters at our disposal that we barely use, anyone think it's time for a shakeup? Does anyone have any ideas for newer secondary characters? We could do the whole "stuck in OAOVW/sent to HI-YAH/released for peeking into the girls locker room" type of reasoning. Not that I think anyone's characters should be "killed off" (unless they want it), but maybe creating some new faces would open new possibilities?

There needs to be a Russian. I thought of having a Russian tag team, it's easy because they speak russian which is not english, which=no promos which=easy writing which=good. Now will I ever write the Russian? No. No I will not. But there needs to be one or maybe two.

You could just have him/them nod their heads or act out their promos in mime.

We just need to refine things. New characters is about the last thing we need. There's TONS of characters not doing anything from the active guys alone (half of us have at least 10, me and Tony together probably have pushing 50), then people decide to debut yet another instead of changing up current ones, or come up with someone new to squash instead of using the ones we already have.

 

For a start, we should lay off of Bruce's guys, except maybe the clear jobbers like 'It'.

 

I did suggest the HI-YAH idea to do something with non-active characters and it kinda fell on deaf ears. Anyone who fancies dredging that thread up is welcome to.

Right now, the only character I know for sure I'm not going to be using is Brock Ausstin. The other guys, I have minor roles planned for or would use them in one of my patented hardcore clusterfucks. And I'm going to repackage Felix Strutter, so he's off limits until further notice.

 

I am still planning to do my big angle I discussed months ago, but due to time issues I'd have, I've been wrestling with whether or not to go through with it for weeks (Get it? LOL). I think the shows will just be centered around squash matches to establish the guys, with an actual match or two to headline. Sort of like the early RAWs. I'll announce the re-launch this week, but I'll probably wait a few weeks to start the actual shows.

 

EDIT: Also, I am done with Ken Pantera for good. The stuff with him at AngleMania was to officially end the Team Canada angle, even though it's been running on fumes for months now. If someone else wants him, feel free, just keep in mind that he's still "recovering from surgery" right now.
