The Greatest [Fantasy] Storyline Of All Time

Recommended Posts

I've been thinking about what the WWE would need to do in order to jump start their next "boom" period, and I came up with a storyline that I know would keep me watching every week, and would most likely draw in a lot of casual fans. It's not a genius, never before thought of plan, but I think if played out the right way it could be huge. It's something that would be a lot different from what is going on now, and would involve the following things:

-A feud on Smackdown of heel wrestlers led by JBL vs face wrestlers led by Teddy Long. This would eventually lead to the two groups joining together in a feud against RAW.

-A title reign for a deserving veteran superstar.

-The pushes of many mid-card superstars into the main event, or atleast closer than they are now.

-The return of a former WWE main eventer.

-A "mole" from one brand being on the other brand, leading to the major heel turn of a guy who hasn't been heel in years.

-One final major achievement for a superstar who's career is winding down.

-A major role for a mid-card superstar after his return from injury and subsequent face turn.

-The reformation of one of the WWE's greatest recent factions. (IMO, many will disagree)

-The end of the brand split.

While I have always been against ending the brand split, I think there is a way that it could work out and greatly benefit the company without killing the pushes or airtime of any remotely talented superstars.

I will start booking this storyline with next Monday's RAW. It will continue through Survivor Series 07, but I won't be booking in line with real time. I should be finished within a month or two. Also, if any superstars get legitimately injured, that may or may not be taken into account, I haven't decided yet. Superstars that are currently injured won't be used in my storyline until the time they are scheduled to be back in action.

EDIT: I've decided to give everyone a few spoilers, but these are the only ones I'm giving.

The veteran superstar who will get a title reign is

...Kane...

and the returning main eventer is

Chris Jericho.

What it really needs is

stop the childish games of mocking its competition with bad "comedy" skits and quit shitting on its own workers

oh and McMahon never ever being in another wrestling match would be a good start.

Ya, I think I got all that covered. When does WWE mock its competition with bad comedy skits? It was TNA who was mocking the WWE with the VKM crap.

ECW with the "Zombie" and later on "Nacho Libre"....ok so they never really acknowledge that TNA exists but they still shit on its own workers like the whole drunk driving Ric Flair bit and JR pulling things out of his ass.

Note: For the first few months, RAW and ECW have little to no involvement with the major storyline, so I'm just booking them for the hell of it. Don't criticize what I do on RAW/ECW too much because I'm not trying all that hard to make it good.

RAW- Monday, April 16

Jeff Hardy def. Trevor Murdoch. After the match, Cade attacks Jeff. Matt makes the save.

World's Greatest Tag Team def. Highlanders.

Lashley vs Masters goes to a no contest when Umaga, Vince, and Shane interfere and attack Lashley.

Kenny/Nitro/Melina def. Flair/Carlito/Mickie when Nitro pins Flair. After the match, Carlito leaves Flair alone in the ring again.

Edge/Orton def. Cena. Edge is about to hit Cena with a spear when Orton tags himself in, throws Edge over the top rope, hits an RKO, and pins Cena. After the match, HBK comes out and superkicks Orton. Edge gets back in the ring and spears HBK. Edge stands with the belt above his head as the show ends.

Thank you.

ECW- Tuesday, April 17

CM Punk comes to the ring and explains that he joined the new breed because he is straight-edge and he is against everything the originals stand for. He mentions Sandman's drinking and RVD's drug use. He says that he fits in better with the new breed and knows that they will lead him to success.

CM Punk and Kevin Thorn def. Sabu and Tommy Dreamer. RVD and Sandman run Punk and Thorn out of the ring after the match.

Extreme Expose

Little Guido def. Matt Striker. After the match, Elijah Burke comes out and berates Striker for losing the match.

Snitsky def. Lashley by DQ after Lashley attacked Snitsky with a chair. Umaga runs to the ring but Lashley keeps him away with the chair.
