chirs3 Posted May 4, 2007 Report Posted May 4, 2007 As soon as Jimmy/Jakey gets edited in, that'll be one of the most complete shows we've had in a while. Loved the promo-age, and the return OF SOMEONE I'M NOT GOING TO SPOIL GO READ THE SHOW. For whatever it's worth, I actually did have a card ready on time - of course, I made the mistake of thinking it would be that easy. Shady dealings and backroom deals and goings-on are... uh... going on. Plus the outcome of Jakey/Jimmy is still in the air. An incomplete card will be going up relatively soon, with the final edits to hopefully come when people get back to me. Please dear God let it be tonight or early tomorrow morning. On the plus side, my incompetence only created half the problems with the card this week. Hooray for me!
Smartly Pretty Posted May 5, 2007 Report Posted May 5, 2007 "don't smother your kids" is from Scrubs. Yay! Go Scrubs! You know, I don't miss this as much as I'd like to tell you guys I do. Though I miss the 4 am skype conversations where raynor asks JJ to book his show. those I miss.
chirs3 Posted May 5, 2007 Author Report Posted May 5, 2007 That is a dirty rotten lie. I've never been on Skype that late.
The Amazing Rando Posted May 5, 2007 Report Posted May 5, 2007 4 AM to him and 4 AM to you might be two completely different times, Raynor.
chirs3 Posted May 5, 2007 Author Report Posted May 5, 2007 4 AM to him and 4 AM to you might be two completely different times, Raynor. I totally factored timezones into that statement. Unless Akira lives in Mongolia or something.
Toxxic Posted May 5, 2007 Report Posted May 5, 2007 4 AM to him and 4 AM to you might be two completely different times, Raynor. I totally factored timezones into that statement. Unless Akira lives in Mongolia or something. That would explain a lot.
HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted May 8, 2007 Report Posted May 8, 2007 I really liked the show. Too many handicap matches, but Landon/Blood+Thunder ended the way it should have. Congrats to Jakey for picking up the win. Jakey reminds me of me when Rev-0 first started and I had my long CW title reign. Hopefully the same happens for him. I like the new incarnation of Rev-0, hopefully Toxx can help motivate Sly like he helped me. Not really feeling the main event, but I guess it puts Toxx back in the title scene. Oh, and I marked out for Jay Hawke.
Toxxic Posted May 8, 2007 Report Posted May 8, 2007 I'd like to point out that I jobbed in the main event, so if anything it solidifies Zyon's place there rather than puts me back there. Maybe.
HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted May 8, 2007 Report Posted May 8, 2007 But you didn't really. Jobbing by DQ because Zyon "tricked" you (which, I didn't really like) makes me (the reader) think that instead of Zyon getting a big win, it sets up Toxx vs. Zyon while Zyon is on a World Title chase. But thats just my opinion.
Toxxic Posted May 9, 2007 Report Posted May 9, 2007 Well, it's not meant to set up another match - Zyon's after the World Title, I've got my own agenda going on. To be honest I was hoping Zyon would write and beat me, but so much for that plan. I didn't want to beat him on a world title chase, but I also couldn't be bothered to let myself get pinned or tapped given (as mentioned before) Zyon hasn't been putting a whole lot of energy into this, so I went with a cheap loss. A halfway decent match would have beaten that sack of crap, but at least it was a full match for the show.
HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted May 9, 2007 Report Posted May 9, 2007 I guess I see where you're coming from. Ghey.
