I have a WWE saved, but it's not as fun as bankrupting WWA, or trying to go national with RoH. The only thing I use the WWE for is to push Kurt, Bray, Benoit, Jericho, and Guerrero. I buried Vince. It's really funny. Job him out, send him to OVW, and I did the same to Steph. BWAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!! Damn you, McMahon's!

Oh, and my main trick with getting guys over that have no charisma is to assign Paul Heyman to heels, and Bret Hart to faces to cut promos. That's how my Brains&Brawn tag team got over so well. I gave them Heyman as a manager, they didn't wrestle for three shows, and BOOM! Their overness shot up. Then, once they started going over some makeshift tag teams, put them against the most over team on RoH PPV, and Brains&Brawn is over at 79/78 (Chris Harvard/Se7en) I love this game!

The next update should be out in the next week or two, according to Adam on his message board, but you won't be able to import your saved games to this version, I think.

** MY FAVOURITE NEW FEATURE!! The "boom - bust" cycle of wrestling has been simulated, and this has been totally incorporated into all features - Sophie will tell you what the market is currently like, the web sites will have reports on the market collapsing\peaking, etc. It also should mean the WWE doesn't remain at 100% throughout the game.

 

** two new web sites are done, a "message board" style one will also be in before release

 

** by popular request, wrestlers now give you a month's warning before retiring

 

** it keeps track of who has debuted, and there will be special angles to debut new people

 

** you can now have a "shortlist" of 15 people. The game will automatically keep track of these 15, and mail you when stuff happens to them (they become available, get signed, etc). Thank Scotsman for that one, it was his idea :-)

 

** the game keeps track of your career, including stats on your previous 5 employers

 

** you can now select the "gallery" of loading screen you want, from a choice of 4, including a set of "generic" ones for those who like to play it in work and don't want hot women on your desktop.

 

** there's a new "diva" attribute which affects ratings for bikini matches - i.e. - is she hot?

 

the new update is going pretty well. There are now 40 angles in the game, the new Internet section is three quarters complete, the debut/retirement system is (finally) working, and i've fixed a few old errors that i found. The new "shortlist" feature is also complete. Next to be added is a stable interview, and perhaps a couple of stable-related angles if i get time. I will also be doing a file-converter that will convert previous versions of the data files into the latest version, although old save slots cannot be used with the new version.

I just had a match between IC champ Kurt Angle and my Numero Uno Jobber Test.

 

Kurt Angle vs Test (For The WWE Intercontinental Title) : Vicious snap suplex! Test got whipped over hard. Test can barely stand. Here it comes - Angle Slam. 1....2...3, it's finished. This one gets a ***1\4 rating, it was a good bout.

Rhyno vs Test (For The WWE Intercontinental Title) : Rhyno hits a stump piledriver on Test. Test is in trouble. Gore!!! That shook the ring. 1....2....3!! Test leaves and walks back down the aisle. Wait...Rhyno comes running as well, and Suck gets dropped with a clothesline, followed by a load of stomps. He is left lying in the aisle. I'll give it a **1\2 rating.

I had Austin at an 80 over level and wasn't using him since he was always the odd man out. So decided that he'll just do a bunch of run-ins and beat the crap out of people. One week later, 94 over and the 2nd hottest heel in the game next to Jericho's 97 over.

 

Anyways, does anyone have a problem with their World Champ's over rating going lower as Champ?

 

I've had Angle and Benoit around 90 when they became Champ and then a few weeks with the belt, they went to an 86 over. I'm booking them with clean title defenses. And the plan is for Booker over Jericho at WrestleMania. Booker has 100 over. Don't want to see him drop. Any ideas how I should book the World Champ?

For a manger for RVD, give him Bret Hart. Bret worked well in my RoH, he's got good charisma, so he cuts a good promo.

 

My RoH is steaming into the December PPV, as I'm going to build to Erin Bray v. Jerry Griffith for the RoH title. I had to make some card changes, but it'll be Eric Angle v. Deacon Batista v. Jerry Griffith for the RoH US Title. Then, Bray will beat newly heel turned Super Crazy at the show, and I'll start building to Bray v. Griffith. Should be good.
