CanadianChris Posted May 11, 2007 Report Posted May 11, 2007 Never count Buffalo out. They score flurries of late goals better than any team in the league.
packwingfn Posted May 11, 2007 Report Posted May 11, 2007 Not to be random but can I be on the title of the page too? I've been here since the start of the playoffs
Guest Queen Leelee Posted May 11, 2007 Report Posted May 11, 2007 *Angry rant edited for various reasons*.
CanadianChris Posted May 11, 2007 Report Posted May 11, 2007 Not to be random but can I be on the title of the page too? I've been here since the start of the playoffs I think they ran out of room.
ZGangsta Posted May 11, 2007 Report Posted May 11, 2007 Damn, that was some sloppy play by the Sabres at times tonight. Good stuff.
CanadianChris Posted May 11, 2007 Report Posted May 11, 2007 It was funny watching them on the power play. I've never seen such a bad power play on a good team. I counted at least eight passes by the Sabres inside the Ottawa zone that went directly to one of the penalty killers.

Fire people.
Guest George's Box Posted May 11, 2007 Report Posted May 11, 2007 Oh Leena you're so hot when you're mad
Guest Queen Leelee Posted May 11, 2007 Report Posted May 11, 2007 I'm not mad, I'm just trying to make this the best thread on the board.
CanadianChris Posted May 11, 2007 Report Posted May 11, 2007 I fully expect Buffalo to win Game 2, though. That's just how the Sens roll. Still have yet to hold a 2-0 series lead in franchise history.
Guest Queen Leelee Posted May 11, 2007 Report Posted May 11, 2007 The Sabres will win one game purely due to Emery being garbage. Good crap, the rebounds he gives up. No chance, otherwise.
iggymcfly Posted May 11, 2007 Report Posted May 11, 2007 Had to record the game and just finished it now, but I just want to say that the Sens are playing some tremendous hockey right now. The Alfredsson/Heatley/Spezza line is just a thing of beauty to watch and the whole team's playing very good defense. I don't know if they can beat Detroit or Anaheim, but I feel really, really good about their chances of beating the Sabres.
Guest MixMark Posted May 11, 2007 Report Posted May 11, 2007 Sabres have been my team since 1993 and it hurt to see how terrible the PP was tonight (and has been all year pretty much) how does the highest scoring team have such a brutal PP, I'll never know. The PP is what broke our momentum and led to the Sens 2-0 lead....so dissapointing
Guest Posted May 11, 2007 Report Posted May 11, 2007 Like I said, one team will assert their dominance fast. If Ottawa wins Game 2 or gets it to overtime, no reason to watch the rest of the games.
CanadianChris Posted May 11, 2007 Report Posted May 11, 2007 That sound you heard? That's everyone in Buffalo jumping off the Sabres bandwagon. There were several calls for Ruff's immediate firing on WGR this morning.
Guest Queen Leelee Posted May 11, 2007 Report Posted May 11, 2007 Buffalo fans aren't bandwagoners. They support their shitty, horrible teams that will never ever win a championship. Granted, Buffalo fans are desperate and irrational. Not myself, of course. But, can you blame us for being pissed. You saw that power play. Heads should be rolling. And I'm really retired... now.
Guest Posted May 11, 2007 Report Posted May 11, 2007 Buffalo fans deserve whatever losing they get. They turn on their team after one game. That is why A.) Nobody wants to play there. B.) They don't win shit.
Guest Queen Leelee Posted May 11, 2007 Report Posted May 11, 2007 What. You also think they'll be eliminated due to this one game. Everyone stop posting about this series.
Guest Posted May 11, 2007 Report Posted May 11, 2007 Yeah, but I thought that the loser of Game 1 would be eliminated anyway. I don't care either way. Buffalo at least has a guy that I'd like to see win the Cup. I can't say that I'd like to see Corvo get his dirty mitts on the Cup.
CanadianChris Posted May 11, 2007 Report Posted May 11, 2007 Patrik Elias is suing his former agents, one of whom is Mark Gandler, for fraud. I already think Gandler is a major-league slimeball from his representation of Alexei Yashin, so I'll be interested to see what comes out of this.
Mike wanna be Posted May 11, 2007 Report Posted May 11, 2007 Buffalo fans = not bandwagoners. Every other town in the state that's more than ~120 minutes from NYC = Buffalo bandwagoners. As a Leafs fan I really don't want either team taking the Cup. Buffalo fans won't EVER shut up about it, but if the Sens go on we might have to make a new Senator song up should they happen to win it all. Decisions, decisions...
packwingfn Posted May 12, 2007 Report Posted May 12, 2007 Real good game tonight, if the rest of the series will be like this, I'm liking though these low scoring games give me heart attacks. Less penalities though next game please And those last 2 minutes...intense
CanadianChris Posted May 12, 2007 Report Posted May 12, 2007 Hasek played well. The rest of the team...well, if they play like that the entire series, they'll be lucky to get to a game 6.
packwingfn Posted May 12, 2007 Report Posted May 12, 2007 Hasek did play well but mind you the Wings were shorthanded for a majority of the game and they played well (the defense) and the wings had some good chances...Giggy made some nice saves too, i'll give him some credit as well

I've lived near Buffalo all my life. Buffalo fans (of all sports) are bandwagoners. Granted they have taken game one pretty good so far, but if they get mauled over in game 2, then we see them jumping off the peace bridge or Niagara Falls.
