Jaxxson Mayhem Posted May 10, 2007 Report Posted May 10, 2007 Which is better (price isnt included in decision on which is better) An Intel Pentium Dual Core Processor (Not the Duo) or a AMD Turion 64 X2? I'm thinking about getting a laptop and can't decide which processor to get. I know to go with the Core 2 Duo if it is an option.
bobobrazil1984 Posted May 12, 2007 Report Posted May 12, 2007 I don't know, isn't Turion X2 supposed to be AMD's highest line of laptop processors? I know that the Core Duos (and Core 2 Duos) are faster, but i'm guessing Turion X2 might beat a "Dual Core"
Jaxxson Mayhem Posted May 13, 2007 Author Report Posted May 13, 2007 I asked one of my friends today and he said that if you want your laptop for gaming, digital imaging, and heavy lifting shit, you wanna get the Turion 64 x2. But if you're gonna be doing word documents or excel shit, get the intel. So i just gotta decide what i'll be using it more for.

Get a Turion anyway. really, how much performance issues are you going to have using word or excel. But really, fuck them both and get a Core 2 Duo. the performance difference is so much better while the price won't be that much different.
