Prophet of Mike Zagurski Posted August 29, 2007 Report Posted August 29, 2007 Well if I go to a Canucks game, I won't forget which city they represent.
treble Posted August 29, 2007 Report Posted August 29, 2007 Why do the home sweaters have the city name? Well, none of them should have the name of the city so prominent, but its stupid on the home one, especially.
Karnage Posted August 29, 2007 Report Posted August 29, 2007 I would have loved it if the Canucks got rid of the Orca...they aren't affiliated with Orca Bay anymore. The revised vintage logo on the shoulders is nice though.
Guest Posted August 29, 2007 Report Posted August 29, 2007 I think Vancouver's unis look terrible. You go blue and green, you go with the logo on the shoulders. Not the whale.
CanadianChris Posted August 29, 2007 Author Report Posted August 29, 2007 They're not this: but they're still pretty bad.
Prophet of Mike Zagurski Posted August 30, 2007 Report Posted August 30, 2007 Am I the only one who likes the V sweaters? They're not as bad as the Islanders' Gordon Fishsticks logo or the Ducks' Wild Wing jersey.
AntiLeaf33 Posted August 30, 2007 Report Posted August 30, 2007 I don't mind the Canucks new jersey, but having VANCOUVER covering a big portion of the jersey seems really out of place
Darthtiki Posted August 30, 2007 Report Posted August 30, 2007 God those 'Nucks unis are awful it's like the 1900's met the 2000's. Yes they are better than the Flying Skate but a full return to the rinkstick would have been better. Taker, I assume you were referring to the 95 alternate Ducks jerseys
Prophet of Mike Zagurski Posted August 30, 2007 Report Posted August 30, 2007 Yep http://www.sportslogos.net/images/Hockey/N...tize0w1othu.gif
Red Baron Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 Patrick Marleau signed an extension with the Sharks for two more years worth $12.1 million.
skullman80 Posted September 7, 2007 Report Posted September 7, 2007 Penguins delivered some of their STH's tickets directly to them... pretty cool. Having Evgeni Malkin come to your door and speak broken english while giving you your season tickets would be priceless.... Guest Soriano's Torn Quad Posted September 7, 2007 Report Posted September 7, 2007 The Canucks should've just come up with a new design instead of rehashing the '70s sweaters, 90s logo, and anachronistically slapping VANCOUVER on the front in a modern typeface (looks like Agency to me). F- for the Canucks. Penguins look pretty bad: Too modern of a design for such an old crest, and the gold should the same as the Pirates and Steelers. F-- Wild, bad: They don't match, automatic F Hurricanes just added lines on the shoulders: Automatic F for being the Carolina Hurricanes.
Prophet of Mike Zagurski Posted September 7, 2007 Report Posted September 7, 2007 I like those jerseys except I never really cared about the Penguins logo. I always thought they should have stuck with the modern Penguin used from 92-00 (I believe).
skullman80 Posted September 7, 2007 Report Posted September 7, 2007 I like those jerseys except I never really cared about the Penguins logo. I always thought they should have stuck with the modern Penguin used from 92-00 (I believe). No way. Skating Penguin > Triangle Penguin Logo.
Red Baron Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 I think if they didn't do the retro+current jersey. Should have done one or the other.
Prophet of Mike Zagurski Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 Fantasy draft tonight: Sign up http://hockey.fantasysports.yahoo.com/league/tsm League: The Smark Marks Pass: TSM ID: 10042 I screwed up like last year and put Smark in the title. I put the draft at 8:30 EDT/5:30 PST on Sept 8th.
Guest Posted September 10, 2007 Report Posted September 10, 2007 Kings training camp opened today and Cloutier was solid. Solid enough to be a decent backup.
Prophet of Mike Zagurski Posted September 10, 2007 Report Posted September 10, 2007 Mike Dunham retired. I wonder if CuJo and Burke will follow?
Red Baron Posted September 10, 2007 Report Posted September 10, 2007 Kings training camp opened today and Cloutier was solid. Solid enough to be a decent backup. So he stopped a shot from the centre line?
Guest Posted September 11, 2007 Report Posted September 11, 2007 He only let in one goal for the whole session, on a rebound. And he was facing the "A" group.
Red Baron Posted September 11, 2007 Report Posted September 11, 2007 Man, I really thought this would be Fukijuma year this year. Kings are still going to make the playoffs this year.
CanadianGuitarist Posted September 11, 2007 Report Posted September 11, 2007 Kings are still going to make the playoffs this year.
Guest Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 He looked like Beachball today, so there's hope yet. LaBarbera will be the starter IMO, but this team has to trade for a goalie to do anything.
