tigeraid 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2007 Fairly straightforward, but I can't really come up with a reason why... TNA pulled Joe from ROH. This was before the PPV was announced too, so technically ROH wasn't "competition" yet and Homicide, Aries and Daniels were still allowed at that point. The idea being that Joe was due for a huge main event push. Fair enough. So why is Joe still allowed to wrestle for seemingly every single other Indy fed on the planet? I could understand keeping his schedule light, his injury possibilities down, that sort of thing, so why was he allowed to work everywhere ELSE but ROH? Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2007 He mocked TNA on a ROH show. TNA, being run by insecure old men took offense. It did help that Joe was set for a huge push with NOAH, which played a part.
The Flamboyance 0 Report post Posted June 9, 2007 Yeah. It sucks. I remember after ROH Fighting Spirit, people were handing out JAPW flyers after the show with Samoa Joe vs Low Ki as the headline. It just got me pissed seeing Joe was going to be in town for another indy promotion but he couldnt be there that night in ROH because of TNA. It's bullshit. I was supposed to go to a JAPW show tomorrow to see Joe vs Eddie Kingston but work prevents me from going which blows. I'll miss Joe.
Jingus 0 Report post Posted June 9, 2007 Short story, because TNA is run by paranoid, incompetent fucks. ROH is the next closest thing they have to "competition", plus Joe publicly burying TNA's booking at a ROH show didn't help.
SamoaRowe 0 Report post Posted June 9, 2007 After the ROH show last night, a girl handed me a flier for some indy I've never heard of that is hyping a Samoa Joe appearance. Something about that just seems so wrong.
