WukenBloodstar 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2007 It's gameStop, what do you think I got? :-P I actually needed the money for bills, so it was good/bad, need money bad, trading in system good. I get the "fuck, I would have payed you for it" from the people I know from Best Buy/my current job. Find it fucking bizzare that when I go into the best buy near me, the guy working video games is always asking me questions on what he should buy. I'm like "dude..but you work in video games." Believe me, I know all about the Wii crazy, I did work the launches for the PS3/Wii. The Wii shit was godawful..every five minutes it was redneck going "YA'LL GOT A WEEEEEE?" Speaking of GameStop, I have to TESTIFY~! as a witness tomorrow because I was robbed twice when working there.
AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted August 13, 2007 It's gameStop, what do you think I got? :-P Well, for other folks' references I'm curious if they were generous with the lube on that transaction.
Sideburnious 0 Report post Posted August 13, 2007 Apparantly there's a main female character coming back for RE5, and she appears in the trailer. I watched the trailer again last night and the only thing that was initially clear was the person at the end of the trailer with blonde hair in the water. I'm taking guesses who the main character could be (or if it is actually a main character) or maybe she's hidden somewhere else in the trailer. Has anyone heard any suggestions on who it is or whereabouts in the trailer?
Guest Essa_Angelico Report post Posted August 13, 2007 Sherry Birkin perhaps?
haws bah gawd 0 Report post Posted August 13, 2007 That'd be an interesting return. I forgot about her. I enjoyed William Birkin's character in RE2. He's pretty underrated IMO. That trailer is insane.
Sideburnious 0 Report post Posted August 13, 2007 My friend and I considered Sherry but we weren't sure about the water she's surrounded in (if that is her). Also there were some rumours that Sherry was Ashley from RE4 from their appearance (i.e she was taken by umbrella and put with the president for protection) but I always figured it's the only type of damsel character they could do (blonde, generic female prissy clothes). We're now considering that it might be the (evil) sister from Code Veronica, as it hasn't been said whether she's playable, or even on your side.
haws bah gawd 0 Report post Posted August 13, 2007 Heh, Code Veronica. I still remember picking that up back in 2000 the day it was released. I about had a heart attack at how good the graphics were, and the camera FOLLOWED YOU AROUND instead of being in a static location. It's still one of my favorite games despite the insane amount of backtracking you have to do, especially early in the game. Resident Evil 4 is my current pinnacle of gaming greatness. It is the game that I compare all others to.
Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted August 13, 2007 God I tried playing Veronica and got so pissed off at all the backtracking that it's one of the few game I never finished. Just so frustrating.
dubq 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2007 I can't see being able to play RE on anything but a normal controller. No pointless waggle controls for me. Have you played RE4? The controls aren't pointless - they're infinitely intuitive compared to the "regular" experience. No, they're not. Like Marvel Ultimate Alliance, or goddamn near every Wii title, the controls wear off from "FUCKING AWESOME." to plain annoying in less than half an hour. You're full of shit. What's not intuitive about POINTING WHERE YOU WANT TO AIM?
